I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,
[redacted].        Business did not offer 500 points and they were suspected to get boat running and did not do so.

RESPONSE: The boat was brought in on 04/07/17.  On 04/08/2017 the spark plugs, fuel filter, gear oil, and impeller were replaced per the customer's request on 4/7.  The customer stated that the boat was not running well while in gear at idle. The technician made some minor adjustments to...

the carb air/idle screws & the motor ran much better. The customer picked up the boat on 04/12/2017 The customer brought the boat back on 08/05/2017 stating that he had not used the boat since it was worked on in April. His complaint was that it was hard to start & could not get full RPM. On 08/07/2017 we started the motor and began diagnosing the issue. While it idled and started well for us in the test tank, it was found that there was no top end power. What was found was that one carburetor was plugged or restricted not allowing the motor to reach full RPM’s under power. The recommendation was to have all carbs rebuilt. Customer denied the work, stating he had already brought the boat in for this problem in April. While talking to the customer it was learned that the fuel in the boat/carbs was more than 1yr old but that it had been stabilized. The technician explained that stabilizer does not stop fuel from going bad and causing damage but merely slows down the decaying process. This in combination to the boat sitting for 4 months may have contributed to the problem. Since the customer specifically asked for a tune up, the service technician did not do an engine diagnosis in April.  Colorado Boat Center would like to get the customer’s motor working properly, but rebuilding the carbs is additional work that will be at the customer’s expense.  As a show of good faith, we will waive the diagnostic charge of $154.35 and put 500 points ($25.00) in his loyalty account for new fuel.
