Since my plan plan started on May 2016, I have experienced multiple customer service issues The form letter used as my plan approval and initial billing had misleading informationIt stated my initial bill was due April but was post marked April This is an unacceptable billing practice It took about weeks for my welcome packet to arrive with my insurance informationThis is unacceptable as I needed updated information to receive my prescriptions After attempting to pick up my prescriptions, my prescription card was denied as Colorado Health did not enter my information in the system These issues are not acceptable for a health insurance company as it affects peoples lives and healthAdd the fact the company likely receives federal funding under the Affordable Healthcare Act

Hello, I would like to file a complaint against Colorado Choice Health PlansI could not file online because you want a HIPPA formThis complaint is about my premium not being refundedDo not need Hippa for thatI got a notice in Nov of my rate going up 50% and went online to Connect for Health Co and change my insurance carrierWith bank problems my Jan premium was sent to themI called them on 12/and told them not to take it that I had change coverage and my plan with them will expire 12/31/They gave me the run around that I have to call Connect for health co and have them call them and let them know it was cancelledCall Connect and they said Colo choice had to call them, but it was indeed cancelledCalled them back a few days later they cannot call connect and will have to wait for reportTalked to Heidi on 1/told me they had report and she would move me to top of file but they only cut checks on Wed and would not go out until 1/Waited still no checkNow I

In April my husband got a new job, his insurance was to start on May 1st, I called Colorado Choice Health Plans in April to cancel our insurance and was told we would receive a refund on our May prepaymentI called in May to make sure the cancellation happened I also called the Colorado Health Op who we got the insurance thru to make sure they know we cancelled Then I called June to see when I would get my check and they assured me that it would be next weekThen I called in later June to let them know I did not receive a check Then in July they said oh, we just got paperwork from the state so they could send me the check then, of course, NO CHECK has ever been sent I have called at least more times and every time they say it is going out next week and I have never gotten the check I do have paperwork that says that my insurance coverage ended on April 30th My insurance plan ID # [redacted] , the amount of the check was $check # ***, written on 4/7/and

I was with this insurance plan for months In the end, I cancelled my insurance but they continued to withdraw my premium for the following months from my bank account They also withdrew twice in one monthIt has now taken over months of calling them to get my months of premiums refunded to me As far as claim service, they are very slow I saw my doctor in September and did not receive a bill from the doctor's office for my share until January That is months and a different deductible year Unacceptable

As a health care provider for many years, I can honestly say that Colorado Choice Health Plans is one of the absolutely worst insurance carriers that we deal with Providers are required to submit authorization requests which may or may not "be received." The stall practices that Colorado Choice uses are endless! When they are questioned about outstanding claims and authorizations, the standard response is "they were never received." We have mailed claims, submitted electronically as well as faxed claims all to be ignored When the patient contacts Colorado Choice they are also told that the claims were not received I have been told by Colorado Choice that we are the only provider who has complaints; however, every patient that we talk to tells a different story They all have problems with not only our claims but claims for prescriptions and all medical providers

Horrible company to deal with!!! I have worked in the Healthcare industry for years doing billing with many insurance providers THIS company is the absolute worse!!!! They cannot process a claim in the same manner and definitely not as per our contract! When I call in to discuss it I was told I "bh" about it Not very professional at all! DO NOT choose Colorado Choice Health Plans or as they are now knows as Friday Health Plans! Ineptness at is worse!!!!

January they pulled months worth of payments out of my checking accountA few months after they pended my account with them for non paymentIt was set up on an auto draft from my checking account and my bank statement will back me up on thisThat premium was paid on time every time without failMattie, a woman who works in the office told me it was a "glitch" in their system where their half of the Federal mandate was not being paid even though I had made my paymentsI never once got a notice in the mail and it happened a total of timesThe only time I found out about them suspending my coverage is when I was at the pharmacy paying out of pocket for medicines that should have been covered and only cost me $or lessThe last time I was pended I told them I had an appointment but they refused to cover the cost of the appointment so I now I owe that out of pocketGet it together! There is no way I am the only one this happened to and if it is then this is not okay

1. The form letter used as my plan approval and initial billing had misleading information. It stated my initial bill was due 25 April 2016 but was post marked 27 April 2016. This is an unacceptable billing practice.
2. It took about 3 weeks for my welcome packet to arrive with my insurance information. This is unacceptable as I needed updated information to receive my prescriptions
3. After attempting to pick up my prescriptions, my prescription card was denied as Colorado Health did not enter my information in the system.

These issues are not acceptable for a health insurance company as it affects peoples lives and health. Add the fact the company likely receives federal funding under the Affordable Healthcare Act.
