Problem solved!back on Oct 21,I had an ECM issue that Colorado Transmission & Diesel was contracted to repair .....This issue was made right!!I want to thank the owner Doug and associate Ray for making this right! Doug loaned me his personal vehicle to get to work while my [redacted] Diesel was down .After many months of dealing with a company called [redacted] to get a working ECM for my truck ,we ended up going a different route!I would like to suggest that anyone dealing with [redacted] beware of the repairs and business techniques this company uses because I went through different ECM repairs and NONE of them worked!!Which put Colorado Transmission & Diesel into a bind!Doug and Ray bent over backwords to make this issue right!I I would like to recommend this company for" any mechanical "repairs needed for a Diesel pick up truckREPAIRED!SATISFIED!Would recommend!

So from the beginning, Mr [redacted] brings his vehicle in for a no start condition. It was diagnosed as an Ecm malfunction and the customer was contacted and recommended DEALER replacement parts. Customer complained about the cost and came to the conclusion he was unable to afford it. So to try and...

help him out I advised him of a company that repairs and prog[redacted]s Ecm (all [redacted]) and that they were in Florida, this process would be time consuming but a lot less costly for the customer. He approved going this route. After about five days my phone began to ring from this customer twice a day with a very cantankerous demeanor. The Ecm finally arrives, I have it installed immediately and the truck fires right up, I then contact the customer. Post contact with the customer I received a phone call from ACR alerting me that this Ecm will not be just plug and play (they always are from this company) that the key has to be reprog[redacted]med by a dealer for security purposes and that there is only a 20 mile drive window before the security system. I then contacted Johnson auto plaza to see if they would squeeze me in real quick for this prog[redacted] and they said yes, I let the customer know of the situation and sent the truck to [redacted]. it made it about one mile before shutting off the truck and I had to have it towed the rest of the way to [redacted]. They checked the truck and said there was no communication from the ecm (because security system had wiped it clean). I then contact ACR and was advised I need to send it back to them. I alert the customer of all this and I have my tech go to [redacted] and pull the ecm off and I send it back in. I got multiple promise dates from this company and advised the customer each time. Unfortunately passing that information on to the customer simply made him more hostile to me for the ACR's lack of delivery. Towards the last couple days of waiting is when the customer became more hostile, calling with threats and vulgar language which quite obviously made a civilized discussion impossible so I just sat on the other end of the phone listening until he finished his rant and hung up. The ECM finally shows back up and I send my tech down immediately to install it and contact jake at [redacted] to prog[redacted] it. I let the customer know all of this information and all of a sudden im not "useless" to him and im thanked . After a few hours of not hearing anything I contacted [redacted] again and was informed that "theres a problem with the ECM, there's no communication" so again I send my tech to [redacted] to double check everything on the installation and he immediately notices that the batteries are dead. He goes inside to advise them that you wont have communication with dead batteries and they need to charge them as when we delivered the vehicle to them the batteries were just fine. They charge them on trickle charge all night and in the morning they still were not holding a charge (weather has changed to cold at this point and weak batteries in the cold commonly fail). I advise the customer of this and he blows up screaming and cursing at me and again with the threats of suing and lawsuits. Then from what I am told by Jake at Johnson's, the customer called them direct and approved the battery replacement . Batteries got replaced and ECM communicated just fine, prog[redacted]ming went just fine, test drives went fine and then the customer requested them to pick him up for delivery of the vehicle. From what I'm told the customer left there and when he got home the truck would not start back up. I spoke with the customer yesterday and started investigating the situation and gathering information from the other vendors. Then this morning I was advised that a complaint was placed with Revdex.com and they are now a mediator between us and speaking directly with the customer was not advised.
