Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:As you can see from the attached picture the humidifier was damaged because it fell down from its place on the furnaceThe last person to work on the humidifier was the company technician and the humidifier was working fine when he left on November The only possible answer why the humidifier did fall down is because the technician didn't anchor it properly in its place on the furnace and it loosened due to the furnace vibrations.I have no objections to paying for a new humidifier and descaler/filter but I don't think I should also pay an installation chargeSince it is the company's fault they should install the new unit for free.Checking on the internet the cost of a humidifier and descaler together varies between $300-$When the company offered to do the job for $it implies that the difference of $200-$is the cost of labor and is the cause of my complaint. In my opinion, the only acceptable solution is for me to pay for the humidifier and descaler (I can buy them on the internet) and the company to install them for free outside maybe a very small charge for installing the descaler which I did not have on my humidifier. As an aside, as far as the scale is concerned it was much less when the technician did the work on the furnace Sincerely, [redacted]

I’m very glad that we were able to see [redacted] complaint in writing and address his statements. We believe there is a mis-understanding about the resolution we offered him. He states our quote of $663.37 is for labor only to replace the humidifier and that he would have to provide the humidifier....

Our offer to him included a new humidifier, adding a de-scaler/filter for water treatment, and labor. This was offered at a 40% discount off our standard pricing. We also dispute the claim that the build-up developed after 2 months of use. The humidifier is at least ten years old as [redacted] told me, and has been obviously neglected in terms of proper service. As you can see from the attached picture taken on January 15, 2018 it’s impossible for that much scale and rust build-up to occur after only 60 days, and is the result of much longer long-term neglect. With the poor water conditions, I explained that adding a de-scaler/filter would be required to prevent damage to the new humidifier, and the cost for that was included in our quote for $663.37, which I have also attached with this reply. Thank you for allowing us to clarify our offer in writing.
