Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have a copy, printed and scanned, of [redacted] Electric's email to the electrician stating that you aren't covering the repair There were outletsYou continually get the number of outlets incorrectIt's a strip of wiring that somehow became ungroundedI was told by the electrician that it included the smoke detector, as well as the outlets inside, and outsideUn-Grounded wiring is of course absolutely not in working order to anyone with logic or reasonit's dangerous and could cause loss of life or limb due to fireNon grounded wiring is not functional wiring, clearly The condition is not a code issue but I have recorded calls of your employees lying to me on the phone and telling me that it was a "code violation", one of many reasons I was given for why you won't fulfill your contractual obligation to repair the damaged wiringThe electrician did not even find out where the wiring was damaged because you refused to pay him for another hour of diagnostic workHe left without knowing where the wiring was damaged, or what the actual problem wasThe industry standard for access to wiring does not apply hereYou used the word in your warranty and should know what it means if you're in this industryIt means that going into a crawlspace is in no way a barrier to accessI reiterate that the wiring is clearly not in working order, to state otherwise is absolutely ludicrousI do not actually know what work needs to be done because you refused to allow the electrician to go into the crawlspace, as he stated he needed to, in order to diagnose the problem

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/05/15) */ Our warranty reads on the Renewal/Cancellation header "This contract may be renewed at CHW's discretion onlyIn that event you will be notified of the prevailing rate and terms of the renewalWe denied the renewal for the following reasons We called on March 25, to remind [redacted] her warranty had expired and if she want to renew she could use a credit card on over the phone, she declined and said she was mailing a checkSince we never received a check we put the warranty on S Dillon Street in expired statusOn May 6, [redacted] called to renew her warranty, we declined due to the fact that it had been expired for monthsAll the rest is history according to her complaintI ***, have NEVER spoken to [redacted] of her husband and find it extremely inappropriate to be called names in an email

The purchase price of the warranty was $not $ The cash out amount for his water heater was $ We vouchered for the "cashout" from our payable office in California We were told that the checks had been sent We did not receive them in a timely manner and asked for them to be re-issued and re-sent [redacted] has since received his $check We didn't call him back as we had nothing to add to the fact that the checks were lost in the mail, and he did not want to hear that and was threatening us with a Revdex.com Complaint and here it is

On 08/29/we received a request for service from [redacted] at [redacted] We dispatched [redacted] Electric to access the issue Our work order does not say "don't fix anything it states plainly Call Before Repairs The outlets in question inside and outside were working not grounded As Ms [redacted] stated gounding is not a code issue The invoice from the electrician states the outlets are working but not grounded Colorado Home Warranty's coverage states under the Electrical System we covering wiring (repair only) Under Not Covered: it states access to wiring As the outlets are working at this time there is not need for the warranty to cover any work that Ms [redacted] thinks needs to be done

We will send the electrician to the property. If the wiring is found to be ungrounded due to normal wear and tear it will be covered. If the wiring is not grounded due to : 1)Not grounded to begin with 2) Pest damage 3) Ground movement it will NOT be covered and the repair cost will be the homeowners responsibility.

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 6, 2015/10/23) */ 09/2/Colorado Home Warranty was contacted by Ms [redacted] with a service call regarding an Ferror code on her ovenWe dispatched Mr Appliance to assess the service issueHis conclusion was that he could repair the top oven (we were not told it was a double oven) with a new control board but the part to fix the bottom oven was unavailable due to age of the ovenOur warranty covers an oven, it also states that if it not mentioned in the warranty it is not coveredWe are honoring the repair of an ovenOur warranty also states that CHW reserves the right to offer cash out in lieu of repairI did speak with Ms [redacted] and at the end of the conversation she stated send me the checkI have vouchered for the check which comes out of California and should arrive in about weeks Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 8, 2015/10/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They use the verbiage to get around what they are actually responsible forThe contract says it covers my oven - it does not state what kind of ovenYes the oven is a double oven, but it is connected applianceThey offered the cash amount of what of the parts were, not the cost to replace my ovenThis company is a scam and should not be allowed to operate in this type of mannerThey are ripping off customers by using their muddy verbiage in the contract so that they really don't have to honor anything that they don't want to Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 12, 2015/11/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) #says they offer cash in lieu of repair or replacement IN THE AMOUNT OF NEGOTIATED RATES WITH OUR SUPPLIERS - if you can get me an oven for the $you offered me in cash from one of your suppliers - I will take it! I am not stupid, you don't have a leg to stand onYour company is FAKE, and you are ripping off consumers! Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 14, 2015/11/09) */ Sorry you feel that way, we sent the check for $640, our obligation to this customer has been met

On November 30, we received a request for a warranty on [redacted] *** The transaction on the property closed on November 18, On Friday, December 9, at4:p.mwe received a service request from [redacted] stating that his gas stove had a gas leak We dispatched a service call to [redacted] ***, the service technician responded to the service request on Tuesday December 13, ***'s findings were it was NOT a gas leak but an ignitor issue We replaced the ignitor on December 22,which did not resolve the problem It was determined by ***, certified [redacted] repair person, that the ignitor had subsequently burned out the control board and then the gas valve The control board and the gas valve failures are consequential or secondary damage and are not covered as stated in Limits of Liability of our warranty # It was the professional opinion of [redacted] that the service issue has been going on for longer than the days that the warranty was in effect which would put the service issue in the known pre-existing category. We are willing to give Mr [redacted] the amount that the ignitor cost which is the $or cancel the warranty and refund the premium of $270.00I asked Mr [redacted] who he spoke with at [redacted] , he did not have a name and told me to look the phone number up on [redacted]
