Attached is the signed invoice and warranty for Mr [redacted] engineMr [redacted] has made several statements that are incorrect or misleading to youOn the issue of a leaking freeze plugMy staff never told him to put [redacted] in his engineInstead when he brought the engine back, we changed the leaking plugOn the oil leak issueMr [redacted] claims that the oil leak was from the rear main seal, when we inspected the engine at our shop we found that the leak was from the oil pan that Mr [redacted] claims he changed twiceThe oil pan was his responsibility to installWe also changed the rear seal to make him happyThere was nothing wrong with itOn the over heating issueThere is nothing inside of an engine that will let it build enough pressure to blow the radiator hoseThere are many external things that would cause that.? ? [redacted] The most commom cause is an air lock in the block on initial startupThe proper proceedure is to use a radiator vacumn tool to pull all the air out of the engine blockReading Mr [redacted] statement tells me he did not use that tool( See our warranty page number 17.)? ? [redacted] The thermostat is another cause of thisAccording to Mr [redacted] statement, he didn't change this untill after the hose blew off(You can see in our warrany page number the thermostat must be checked or replaced.)? ? [redacted] The radiator cap is design with a pressure relief to stop this from happeningI don't see in his statement where it was checked or replaced( See our warranty page number 20.)On his claim about the engine getting hotThere could be other causes plugged radiator, air still trapped in the engine block, wrong water pump, bad fan belts, no radiator shroudThe most common cause is no air flowMr [redacted] claims we charged him $for a good engine core, if you look at the attached invoice you can see he was never chargedThe issue of rust and scale in the engine block after it sat for six monthsWe hot tank every engine block as well as jet tank them after the hot tank processEngine blocks are cast iron and ANY cast iron if you leave water in it for six months will rust upThis is NOT the cause of his problems. The most serious claim to me is the fraudMy company has never sold an engine that was not machinedOn rebuilt engines from our shop they are usually bored .030, or I will be able to prove that the engine was bored by checking it with our dial bore guageThis insturment can measure to 1/of 1/of an inchIf that engine was not bored like he claimes it will read way over The scratches in the cylinders can only be caused by dirt getting in the engine during installationI can prove my staff machined this block in a court of law and if Mr [redacted] continues this claim, I will sue him for slander. In closing we have not heard anything from Mr [redacted] since he picked the engine up in late until he called on 4/25/I told him during that call that I was in a bad cell area and lost himI tried to call him back several time five minutes later and left him messages every timeIf need be I will produce my phone records. Our warranty is very clear ? especially page paragraph 1, page paragraph and page paragraph ? Thank You

I am rejecting this response because: I dispute everything CSD says I did or did not do when installing this engine. I've been working on cars for almost yrsI know how to install an engine. I'm not after money. I don't want a dime from CSD. And I don't want them to ever do any work for me again. I have no reason to make up a story about this engine. I thought I could get a good engine at a cheap price but I was wrong.I have another engine block at reputable machine shop and should be ready soon. I don't want to argue with CSDIt won't do any good. I have the block I got from them on a stand in my garageI show it to everyone who stops by. If anyone would like to see it TEXT me at ***. I hope I can help someone avoid what happened to me. I'm sure CSD will dispute what I saying but I have the evidence and the witnesses who helped me with the install, removal and tear down of the engine. I'm done

In response to Mr*** complaint, I'm a little confused with his statementI am the owner if CSD Engines in which our main business is building performance engines. I checked our records and we did sell Mr*** an engine on 5/26/(see attached sales receipt)At the time of him
recieving his engine he also signed and recieved a copy of our warranty (see attached warranty.)We do stand behind all of our engines and his claim that we didn't is completly falseIf he would have called us with a problem we would have taken care of it as per our warrantyHe is saying he talked to me but I don't recall ever recieving his callEven if I did talk to him, I would have told him to bring the engine back in for inspectionI even talked to my two managers and neither of them have recieved as wellI would ask that Mr*** produce those phone records as proof that we recieved his callI have never intentionally avoided a customers callWe also have a place of business that is open days a week, so he should have brought the engine in if someone in my company was avoiding his calls(See warranty page one paragraph and address page paragraph 8.) We could also have been reached via email through our web site which is on his receipt.CSD's warranty states ** Any part alleged to be defective must be returned to CSD Engine and Machine for inspectionCSD Engine and Machine reserves the right to make the sole decision concerning the warranty( page paragraph )** A customer can NOT take our engine to another shop for warranty work.In reguards to his statement about us putting the wrong oil pump in the engine, this is a performance that does take a high volume oil pumpWe sell over of this engine package every year and they all have a Melling high volume oil pump ( see build sheet attached.) His statement is completely backwards, a high volume pump gives more oil and does not starve the engineA standard volume oil pump in a high performance engine would starve the engineThis apparently is coming from the mechanic that he had do the work on our engineThis engine comes with a brand new Scat crank shaft and Clevite bearings and every bearing journal is plactic guaged for proper bearing clearances at the time of assemblyThe most common reasons for a rod bearing failure is LACK of oil in which he claims we had to much oil, dirt introduced into the oiling system or high rpmBut because the engine was never brought back to us we are not able to determine the cause of the failure. In closure if Mr*** would have brought the engine back to us within the timeline of his warranty, we would have repaired or replaced the engine as per our warrantyIf he wants to continue to challenge this in court I will bring written statements from Clevite Bearing Company, Melling Oil Pumps as well as statements from other engine manufactures to prove that his claim of us installing the wrong oil pump is false.Thank You
