I am responding to the above mentioned complaint submitted by Mr*** ***Upon receipt of Mr.
***'s concern a medical and financial review of the record was completed*** was extremely ill and we
appreciate Mr***'s dedication to his careMaking the drive to see us certainly demonstrates a strong
commitment.
It is our opinion that our clinicians and staff provided quality medical care and the treatment and diagnostic
options that were discussed and approved by Mr*** were appropriate for ***'s conditionMr*** expressed financial concerns early in the treatment planning and adjustments were made to provide quality care while being mindful of the financial limitations.
In addition to the medical review we reviewed the charges associated with the care and found that the invoice is an accurate reflections of the service providedWe have attached a copy of the signed fee estimate approving the medical plan and agreeing to the charges; the actual charges were $which is under the low end of the estimate which was $We will not be forgiving these charges as the service provided was approved,
appropriate, and delivered in good faith.
We understand that this was a very emotional time and Mr*** was being asked to make very difficult
decisionsIt was our medical opinion that *** should remain in the hospital and we advised Mr***, as is
documented in our medical summary which is attached, that we were concerned about *** making the trip back to WyomingOur hearts do go out to the *** family for their loss.
