Good morning, sorry for the delay in getting this response to you.  Thank you for your time on the phone and helping me address this.  Attached you will find a copy of the limited warranty for reference. First off, I would like to start by saying as a used car dealer/service center we have...

invested in a pass through computer diagnostic system that allows us to deliver clean code free cars.  It's in our best interest to do so.  We try to avoid situations like this.  It's time consuming and not good for our reputation. Plus we work very hard to satisfy our customers as indicated here [redacted]Before [redacted] took delivery we made sure there were no faults in the 300.  We ran a complete scan after we reconditioned the vehicle.  We need to do this because of inspection laws, situation like this and it's good business. A few days after [redacted] took delivery he called about a warning light. I couldn't understand what he tried to communicate, so I referred him to his owners manual.  Instead of reviewing the manual [redacted] drove the car with the parking brake on from Annapolis (125 mile).  We showed him where the brake release was and how to use the manual and sent him on his way.We received another call a week later regarding a check engine light.  We directed him to [redacted] to get codes and asked him detailed questions.  He told us at some point he got gas and the gas cap was not installed properly after fill and that leads to a bunch of false lights because of a vacuum leak. He called us back with a code that indicated a potential problem with the EGR Valve.  We told him at that point it was not covered under the warranty (see attachment) however we wanted to work with him and gave him the warranty anyway.  We split the cost and charged him $130, the part alone retailed for $190 with an hour of labor. [redacted] girlfriend called and was very abrasive with my Sales Manager cursing and threatening the business.  We tried to explain the warranty and issue but she decided to yell over our managers attempt to work through the situation. She just wouldn't listen and was very unreasonable.  We figured they would not be coming back and they would handle this issue on their own.The next day we received another call from [redacted] who was reasonable and we made an appointment to replace the valve.  He was late for his appointment and we completed the job.  He paid the $130 and seemed to leave happy until he backed into a pole on our lot.  A week goes by the car passes inspection in [redacted] (Code had to reset for that to happen).  He calls us after inspection and reg/title paperwork to let us know the engine light came back on.  We told him we stand by our work and there would be no charge if it was related to previous work.  He decided to take it somewhere else and was not very communicative or had receipts or info for what the other shop recommended. We never heard anything else until we received the letter in the mail from Revdex.com.  Please feel free to call me with any additional questions.Have a great week!Joseph L.
