The fabric used for this treatment measure 54” wide. In order to manufacture a custom window treatment for this window there would have to be seams on the product either horizontally or vertically, there is no way around that. Any Roman shade of this width will have seams. Some customers prefer to cover those seams with decorative tape, others leave the seams visibleThe product was manufactured according to the design.
Once a customer signs an invoice and gives a deposit the custom order is placed. A refund has not been issued because there is nothing wrong with the product. Once something is custom ordered it is not returnable to the manufacturer or the store

I am rejecting this response because: The store owner neglected to mention that we were never told that the seams would need be there based ont he size as they claim.  In fact, both the salesperson and the installer came to our home to measure.  They measured the kitchen windows since my wife and I were also thinking of purchasing Plantation Shutters.  The salesperson and the installer were VERY specific with regard to exactly how the shutters, headers and support struts for the shutters would look.  Based on this discussion and these details, we chose not to go ahead with the purchase of the shutters for the kitchen.  On this very same evening, the installer measured the windows in our bedroom (one of which is the the window in question) however, my wife and I were NOT told that there would be seams based on the size of the window and shade, much the same way we were told of the shutters.  This detail, like the shutters mentioned previously, should have been the responsibility of the installer and the Salesperosn who were both present.  Instead, the fact that seams would be visable, is something they BOTH neglected to tell us.  We provided a $1,000.00 deposit via check that evening thinking that the shades would be perfect in every way.  When the shades came in, there were two seams running down the main part of the shade which made the shade look completely different and is not what we pruchased nor expected to see when they were hung.  Not only were the seams unacceptable, but the remedy offered by the salesperson, which was to place two decorative strips down the center of the shade to cover the seams was also not acceptable since this is not what we purchased.  Based on the ENTIRE story including the specific details provided herein when we were thinking of purchasing shutters for a different part of the house and the obvious neglect of the instllaer and the saleperson mentioning that there would need to be two obvious seams, is the reason we refused to purchase the shades.  In fact, had we been told that there would have to be two seams in the center of the shade. we would have not selected these shades and this situation would have been avoided.  The store was less than honest in terms of providing these detaisl to us which would have also allowed us to make the choice as to continue with the purchase or not.  We are homeopwners and not in the window covering business and left all of measurments and requirements to the people we thought were professionals.  It is apparent that this is not the case and in fact the truth was not provided to us unitl we saw the shades hanging in our bedroom.  It is imperative that the facts be told honestly and according to the details of what actually happened. We were decieved and we want our $1,000.00 deposit back and will NOT settle for anything less.

Review: My wife and I purchased window treatments and due to the size to cover one window there were two rather large seams running donw the center of the shade. we did not accept the shades and they store owner kept the shades and our $1,000.00 deposit in the form of a check. we were never told of the seams needing to be part of the shades which constitutes fraudDesired Settlement: we expect to have a full refund of our $1,000.00 deposit since the store has both our check and the shades.
