Doctors again on 10/**/16 and they said they hadn't heard back from the hospital regarding the $65.  This back and forth with Hope and Donna from Columbia Doctors has been going on since July. Thank youSincerely,[redacted]

Review: I received an unexpected bill from the office of columbia doctors. I'm fully covered under my insurance and for my son [redacted]. The unexpected bill was explained to me that a doctor who was not in network when my wife was in the hospital came to see her and the baby. That shouldn't be our problem since all other doctor that came in and the care given was fully covered. This doctor who wasn't in the network then billed separately to the insurance company instead of billing it together with the hospital stay of 4 days which was fully covered. The insurance company replied back with a claim that they would cover but the balance the doctors of columbia billed me. This is not fair. Am I now supposed to ask every doctor that comes into our room if they are in my insurance network? It was eventually sent to collections. Its not the money issue, its the principal. I keep calling the office and I keep getting the run around. I initially spoke to a Stanly in billing and I did exactly what he asked me to do which was to send a copy of what the insurance will allow and pay the difference which I did. Now this month I received a bill from the collectors saying I need to pay the full balance.Desired Settlement: I would like to just end of of with what I'm only allowed to pay what the insurance will pay the doctor. Whether she chooses to get paid more is not my fault.

Review: Columbia Center for Woman's Reproductive Care ordered blood work for me as part of my initial bloodwork at [redacted] using codes that were classified "experimental". When my insurance company denied the experimental testing on September [redacted], 2014, I received a bill from [redacted] to cover the costs. After receiving the bill from [redacted] for $454.00, I contacted both [redacted] and [redacted] (my insurer) to see how this could be resolved since diagnostic testing is covered under my insurance policy and they both explained that the codes needed to be adjusted to my specific diagnosis code and they provided the code. I called CWRC a total of 14 times. I left messages with the billing department, the office manager, the nursing line and spoke with a total of 4 people and was unable to get a response. I also emailed the specific statement with the tests highlighted to an official in the billing department and followed up by email but did not receive a response. Finally, the insurance company representative called and spoke with a nurse, asked her specifically what the code was for and when she was told it was for my diagnostic testing, she provided the correct code and asked if they could re-code. The nurse refused to change the code and insisted that it was the right code.Desired Settlement: A response from the provider agreeing to change the lab order code.

Review: Columbia Doctors has been extremely and perhaps deliberately negligent in providing me with detailed billing statement outlining the names of my various medical providers, and dates of medical care so that I appropriately pay my bills as designated and covered by my insurance company.

The Columbia Doctors manager that I have been corresponding with has only provided me with lip-service over the past two months and has consistently been derelict in her duties to return my telephone calls or respond to my emails and written correspondence. This organization has aggressively and prematurely appointed a law firm to pursue billing claims against me, despite the fact that they have been negligent in provided me with the details I need to expediently resolve my outstanding bills.Desired Settlement: I was told yesterday (8/**) that they would put the collections efforts again me on hold for 45 days. My expectation is they will provide me with the necessary details with revised and clear bills, no later that October **, 2015.
