Columbia Ford Lincoln Mercury Reviews (2)

On Sept22nd I talked to sales manager Mike A [redacted] regarding a Hyundai Veloster advertised on their website for $15,When I told Mike I wanted to purchase this vehicle he told me I couldn't have it at the advertised price and that it would cost me an additional $2,because of the wheels and tires on the vehicleThese wheels and tires and the ones on the vehicle in the photo from their websiteI then spoke with Pat S***, Dealer Principal, his response was the same as Mike's, but he did say I could have the car at the advertised price with stock wheels and tires on itThey then went into webpage and changed the price of the vehicle by $2,They said it was a mistake they made and that it shouldn't have been listed at that priceThis seems like a textbook sample of bait and switch

Review: on or about 8/12/15 I brought my 2008 f350 to this dealer to diagnose a loud noise after review I was told it needed a new engine to to internal damage and little or no oil. I asked why there was no oil and was told it had never been changed, which is not the case. the internal damage was why the engine needed to be replaced. I asked what happened and was told it would cost $110.00 an hour to tear it apart to tell me why. I talked to the tech and he assured me that it needed to be replaced, he didn't have to look further, he knows. I talked to Michael P[redacted], the service manager at the time, and he told me he had 22 years experience and they were right. I stopped in the dealer to talk about it, my service coordinator, Teresa G., was on the phone and another employee told her I was there. upon hanging up the phone, she rolled her eyes and put her head in hands, not knowing I was standing off to the side. every time I call I an steam rolled and rushed through the call. none of my questions are answered. I paid $8353.04 on 8/27/15 for the new engine and exhaust manifold. the truck seemed to run ok. since then, it has not started on first key tun a couple of times and today it did not start ata ll. so on 9/17/2015 I call columbia ford to have it towed to dealer. called at 7am, got a call back at 730am right away which was fine. was told no one could come out til 8 am, driver showed up at 9am. I was outside when driver backed into drive way. he was pulling forward to straighten it out and I yelled to stop, he proceeded to roll over my freshly aerated and seeded lawn. which was done early that morning.(cost still unknown). he then went forward some more turned the wheel and back over it again, leaving a giant rut. I asked him what his problem was and he had nothing to say. I spent over 3000.00+ to make this lawn beautiful. now I have to spend more to fix it, not toe mention the $5.00 it cost me to rent a truck for the week and a half it was being repaired. no I have lost another day of work and so did my 3 employees due to this.I shouldn't be treated like I am an ignorant consumer. I could have gotten a second opinion, but it would have cost me another 300-400 dollars. it takes hours to get a call back, if you get one. I an awaiting a visit from the manager to see the damaged lawn and resolve this, which I highly doubt. I am not even certain that the engine was bad.... the air conditioning doesn't work properly and am awaiting that to be resolved too. it worked just fine before the repair. truck came back with no fluids check, no wiper fluid, right tail light out. shouldn't these be check by a ford dealer?? was also told there is no loaner when you spend $8300.00 and they have your truck for almost 2 weeks.Desired Settlement: I want the truck in 100% mechanical order, the lawn repaired to its original state, the AC fixed and I believe I shoud be compensated for time lost due to lack of vehicle.

Response:

This vehicle was towed in for a unrelated matter and returned to the customer. Our tow truck driver tries very hard to overcome tight spots however sometimes one tire off the pavement is unavoidable. We offered to send a landscape company to look at the tire track. but he customer refused, currently we are waiting for an estimate from the customer. Regarding the engine we stand by our original diagnosis. Thank You Hogan K[redacted] Service Manager.
