This case involves the ordering of a part for the customer’s camperThe customer wanted the part
shipped under the customer’s personal UPS account rather than via Columbia Northwest’s standard
shipping proceduresColumbia Northwest promised to do as requested, but failed to
ship in the desired
mannerPrior to receiving the Revdex.com Complaint, Columbia Northwest, Inchad fully refunded all shipping
charges, giving the customer free shipping on the ordered parts

Columbia Northwest did not respond to my original complain filed with Revdex.comMy complain was about deceptive information on their website showing items on campers in their picture gallery, when they actually were not supplied with the camperI had to order those separately
I suggest Columbia Northwest reads again my complain sent earlier and responds accordingly
I also suggest Columbia Northwest refunds the amount paid for these parts, as originally requested in my complain
This complain has nothing to do with subsequent parts ordered and shipping discrepancy

Review: Purchased a 2016 Aliner Expedition from [redacted]. We had a axle problem within the first year of ownership and received permission from Aliner (Columbia Northwest) to have it serviced at a local repair shop in San Jose, California. The repair shop communicated with Aliner and the axle manufacturer ([redacted]) to replace the axle. A new replacement axle was sent under warranty, but neither Aliner or [redacted] would pay for the labor to replace the axle at a cost of $437.50. I paid the local repair shop for their labor and have been seeking reimbursement for the labor since January 2016. Labor rates in the San Francisco Bay Area are higher than rates in other parts of the country, so I offer for a lower reimbursement amount. I spoke to the regional Aliner representative Dan H[redacted] who thought I should receive a reimbursement on the labor. This was a new trailer under a 12 month warranty. I should not have to try and collect from the axle manufacturer or spend hours over the last seven months trying to get reimbursed on a warranty item. Aliner had me working with a new San Jose Aliner dealer (Stormin Normin) who was not selling the product when I purchased my unit. The dealer was requested to deal with me on this issue in April 2016 and have not had any response from Aliner on my reimbursement of labor. Stormin Norman finally asked me to call Dan H[redacted] directly to get my issue resolved. I have left three messages and sent an email asking for resolution to my issue. I have also got the selling dealer to advocate for my reimbursement. I would like reimbursement of $437.50. Dan H[redacted] of Aliner has requested and received the repair order for the axle replacement. This trailer is still under the twelve month manufacturer warranty. Please help me get this issue resolved.Desired Settlement: A refund of at least $350 for the labor to install a new axle on my 2016 Aliner Expedition.

Response:

I am responding to Complaint# [redacted]. Our consumer had a problem with the axle on their trailerand that item is warranted by the axle manufacturer. The consumer had made some contact with ouroutside representatives, and they were directed to a local repair shop. The axle manufacturer providedthe parts at no cost to the consumer, but did not cover the labor. As a good faith gesture, we agreed toassist with the labor expense under the condition that the local repair shop would contact us with anestimate for the labor to make the repairs. That did not happen. The local shop made the repair and thencharged the consumer almost 3 times what we would have reimbursed our authorized dealer for theexact same repair. There was a lack of communication between the consumer and our outside representatives that increasedthe consumer’s dissatisfaction. I became aware of the situation when I received a copy of theconsumer’s complaint with you. I have been in contact with the consumer and negotiated a solution thatin their words was, “more than fair”, I apologized to the consumer for the break-down incornmuitication with our outside reprèseiitatives. The consumer was happy to hear from me andsatisfied with our solution. We are in the process of reimbursing that consumer, We consider this issueto be resolved to the consumer’s satisfaction.

Review: Buyers of Aliner campers be aware. Although Columbia Northwest manufacturers/assembles decent pop up campers, communication with this company employees and management is poor if not straight non-existent. I only hope I will not have a warranty issue with this company as it would be a real nightmare. Their online brochures and picture gallery are deceptive, showing items/options that in fact are not installed. When contacting them they give customers run around with incorrect, inconsistent or vague answers. When confronted with facts they chose not to respond. Just don't understand how a company of this size can run a reputable business.Desired Settlement: Columbia Northwest should acknowledge and admit their mistakes and offer customers a positive solution such as a refund not only for items/accessories shipped but also for item(s) purchased.
