First: It is my opinion that the Columbia Par Cart is the best of the available electric golf carts available in this area, BUT, my ownership experience has been anything but great.

Pro's: great looking cart, travel distance per charge is excellent

Con's: -service after the sale is awful if you have any issues with your cart
-no one ever returns calls
-other than warranty work, service work is very expensive, they charge retail for every part plus installation
-they do not sell parts at wholesale to other dealers which impacts the trade in value and selling price of the cart as a used cart
-they don't stand behind tires

My experienced started out poorly. Cart is a model year 2012 which currently has a tad less than 400 hours on it (very light use). First problem I noticed within the first 3 months was unusual wear on the front tires. Called for service. Young man that came out indicated the cart when delivered was out of alignment. They aligned the cart but would not accept any responsibility for the heavier than normal wear on my tires. Purchased it with maintenance free batteries. They lasted about 9 months. They indicated they would stand behind their warranty for the batteries, but still imposed a charge of $485.00 to take the cart into their service center and replace the so-called no maintenance batteries with standard batteries. In mid January 2016, I noticed a loud grinding noise. Called them. Had to wait a week plus for them to get someone out to take a look. In the meantime I was told not to use the cart. Young man that came out indicated it sounded like a wheel bearing went bad. Took another week for them to get someone out to pick up the cart. They stated their service department was overwhelmed and already working on Saturdays. Picked up the cart on a Wednesday. The service manager finally called me the following Tuesday, but I missed his call. The next morning I returned the service manager 's call at 8:04am. Office girl said he was too busy to talk to me because he was unloading a truck. I called again at 10:05am. I just wanted to make someone was repairing me cart because the service manager and I hadn't talked. I asked if there was some else I could talk. Was told no! I called again at 11:15am. Was told the manager would call me after lunch. I waited until 1:30pm, got in the car and drove to their service center where I found the service manager sitting behind his desk. Told me my cart needed to have two wheel bearing replaced, he get the work done and have my cart back to me the next day (Thursday). They called Thursday to say they deliver my cart by 2:30 the following day (Friday). No cart arrived. About 5:15pm on Friday, the phone rang and I was told their truck broke down and would now deliver my cart Saturday at 9am. Truck showed up at the house at about 9am on Saturday, but my cart wasn't on it. The driver told me my that my cart was repaired but they had forgotten to put it out for delivery so he brought a loaner for me to use over the weekend, and would deliver my cart first thing Monday morning. What a circus!!!!

Definitely would not do business with Par Car again. Thankfully, we have a second cart that we purchased in January 2008. Experience with that cart and dealer has been exceptional.
