COLUMBIA PLAZA VALET CLEANERS

Review: I dropped off a leather handbag for routine cleaning, and one minor repair to the edging of one handle on 8/19/2013. I returned weekly to check on the status of the handbag. Several weeks later in October, the bag finally came in, and had been completely destroyed beyond repair. Several panels of the light tan leather appeared to be covered in highlighter marker. The bag had not in any way been cleaned. The handle, instead of being repaired, had been colored in with a black sharpie marker. Even after seeing this, the clerk tried to charge me in excess of $75. I refused and asked for the bag to be actually cleaned and repaired or to be compensated for the value of the handbag ($300). The clerk sent the bag back for repairs. It is now 11/15/2013, and the dry cleaner has not been able to locate the bag. I am seeking my bag returned in its original condition, or the $300 needed to replace the handbag.Desired Settlement: Either my handbag returned in the condition in which it was originally brought to the dry cleaner (and without any fee), or $300 cash to replace the handbag.
