We state our no show/last minute cancellation policy in the Cancellation Policy and commitment agreement signed by patient at their initial visit.All patients sign a form stating they will be charged a fee if they fail to cancel their scheduled appointment within 48th hoursThese appointments are especially reserved for each of our patients since we respect their time and we always see them at their reserved time.In this case if we had hours’ notice, we could possibly fill the appointment timeMrDao was called to be reminded about his dental appointment two days in advance prior to his scheduled appointmentFor unknown reasons he did not call us back to cancel or reschedule his appointment

I had a dental appointment last December and explicitly told the receptionist that I did not want to reschedule (I knew I would not be in New York in June)The office went ahead and made an appointment for me without my knowingI only found out when I came back to school and saw a bill in my dorm mailbox for missing this appointment that I did not scheduleWhen I went to the office, the manager said that there was nothing he could doAccording to him, the official policy did not allow him to erase the fee, even though he wanted toHe told me to call back in a couple of months to see if there would be anything he could doThe problem is that a few months later, the bill might be considered late and sent to a collection agency

In the regards to  [redacted] complain ID# [redacted]. We had waived the cancellation appointment fee of $ 25.00.  Please make a note of our decision.
