Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The warranty Mr. [redacted] presented me is not the warranty he speaks of in his response.  Mr. [redacted] did not have to take this roofing job from a "desperate" individual as he claims but rather maybe he was desperate for the business.  I have had another roofing company come look at the roof an assess the damages.  As of 07/24/2014, the amount to fix only the roof is $1712.00.  This amount does include structural water damage to the inside of the house and porch dwellings.  In the future, Mr. [redacted] should come to fix his inadequate work when the home owner is home which would enable the home owner to make Mr. [redacted] aware of any other issues.  Mr. [redacted] putting caulking on top of an unsealed roof will never repair a leaking roof and this is not an acceptable repair.  I will be pursuing this issue in small claims court since Mr. [redacted] has refused to honor his warranty and is not telling the Revdex.com the truth.

On 8/20/131 agreed to do Mr. [redacted]'s roof for half the cost, his insurance check was $3400.00, He was desperate for a new roof, but did not have the full...

amount which was $6790.00, the material I purchased was a 30 year high wind shingle at a cost of $2700.00. The contract I have right in front of me dearly states the house only is covered under warranty, I would not warranty the add on porch, due to it's poor drainage, low slope construction.
I installed the best material on the porch that his money would allow, and It did not leak until we had a bad ice storm, and broke the seal on the porch shingles, I repaired the porch at my cost 3 times, all the while telling Mr. Jenson it needed proper material since the original shingles would not work, I offered to pay $400.00 if he pitched in $200.00 and'donate free labor, He in a rage said he wouldn't.
I have been to his house 3 times in 9 months, never once did he say the house had a leak, only the porch, I have reciepts and documentation, showing the contract, and repair costs for the porch. All installations were done up to code, simply stated, Mr. [redacted] recieved a $6790,00 dollar roof for half the cost, I simply asked for $200.00 to remedy the porch problem, and he would not comply, I did not warranty the add on porch, that's why it's not mentioned in the original contract. The $4066.17 price he states is for material, the insurance company was short on the material. My labor pay was $650.00 for tear off shingles, install new, dump fees, new vents, e.tc. My labor should have been $3200.00, I was shocked he could not come up with $200.00 to solve this issue.
