I did speak with Ms [redacted] about her repairThe cost of this repair is $3,plus taxWe reduced the price as a goodwill gesture to Ms***We would never tell a customer that a vehicle will last a certain period of timeWhich is why we document everything including the promises we makeThis vehicle was sold just like every vehicle we sellNot only did we reduce the cost of the repair we offered [redacted] a payment plan [redacted] was here to look at the same vehicle about three weeks prior to making a purchase and was very patient in her purchaseShe checked this car out several times when she would come inOnce she finally purchased the vehicle [redacted] was reminded that the vehicle was and decided to purchaseWe certainly had no prior indication of an issue with this vehicleColumbus Auto Source has tried to help Ms [redacted] in this repair as we would any of our customersPlease let me know of any further questions or concernsYours Truly, Ely C***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I only came in to look at the vehicle once which was the day of purchase and it was on that day I worked with DanAt that time I advised him of my concerns with the mileage and inquired about the warrantyNot only did he advise me, but he also advised my father that although the vehicle was being sold as is, the engine was in decent condition, with at least another year before needing any repairsI have purchased many used vehicles and am well aware of the as is warranty policy, however it does not change the fact a salesperson provided misinformation as the engine in this vehicle was obviously shot prior to purchaseTo have a vehicle for days and then to have the engine cut off and ask the customer to replace it for the amount of a down payment on a decent vehicle is unreasonableThe lack of follow up by the staff has been unreasonable and all around a horrible experience?

Here's what I would considerLet the Revdex.com make the decision how much is Mr [redacted] is owed from his down payment for providing fraudulent income documents in order to finance this vehicle, put over miles on it and based on all this required us to sell the vehicle for over $1,lessPlease let me know what your decision isThank you for all your time invested in this and looking out for consumers.? ? I am sorry for what has occurred with Ms***'s vehicleWe have offered a repair at a discounted rate as a goodwill gestureOther than reducing the cost of the repair there is nothing more we can do

Mr*** purchased a vehicle that was years old and priced in such a way that it was the best buy from Kansas to OhioHe negotiated a discounted price on the vehicle knowing it was a year old vehicleOnce he arrived at the store he complained about a check engine light that
came onBecause he traveled so far I agreed to put a sensor on the vehicle for $Mr*** drove the vehicle on his way home and the light cam back onI gave him the opportunity to bring the vehicle back but he declinedI told him I would mail him $for his troubleIf Mr. *** would return the vehicle with in one week of today I would refund his purchase This is the extent of which I'm willing to help Mr*** on his year old vehicle

Mr*** purchased a Infiniti Gfrom us on 10/04/and was financed with National Auto Acceptance CorpWe sent Mr***'s paperwork to the bank to go through fund processThe funding officer at the bank called two days later and said that Mr***'s paystub could not be verified
and said that didn't work thereI called the corporate HR office on the paystub and talked to a ***She said her records showed that Mr*** hadn't been in her system in over a yearI contacted Mr*** and asked if there was another way to verify his employment and he was unableI have attached a copy of Mr***'s paystub he provided us*** said that paystub was possibly fraudulentI called Mr*** and asked him to return the vehicleI have charged Mr***'s down payment for the miles put on the vehicle and a fee to inspect and service the vehicleThe lender and the human resource person believe that this paystub may be fraudulentI have attached a copy of the paystub for your own investigation and recordsPlease let me know if I can help conclude this matter reasonablyI don't know if this paystub or the findings of the bank and HR person are valid, I'm just going on what they tell meThanks for your concern for Mr*** and checking into this matterI look forward to getting to the bottom of this with you. I did speak with Ms. [redacted] about her repair. The normal cost of this repair is $3,400.00 plus tax. We reduced the price as a goodwill gesture to Ms. [redacted]. We would never tell a customer that a vehicle will last a certain period of time. Which is why we document everything including the promises we...

make. This vehicle was sold as-is just like every vehicle we sell. Not only did we reduce the cost of the repair we offered [redacted] a payment plan. [redacted] was here to look at the same vehicle about three weeks prior to making a purchase and was very patient in her purchase. She checked this car out several times when she would come in. Once she finally purchased the vehicle [redacted] was reminded that the vehicle was as-is and decided to purchase. We certainly had no prior indication of an issue with this vehicle. Columbus Auto Source has tried to help Ms. [redacted] in this repair as we would any of our customers. Please let me know of any further questions or concerns. Yours Truly, Ely C[redacted]
