We initially received notification that Consumer Complaint #
ID [redacted] had been closed. We then received another notification that the
consumer that filed the complaint had provided another response. Please allow
us to again reply to the consumer’s response and further more afford us the
opportunity to ensure you that we did communicate with a professional courtesy
and provided timely, accurate and specific repairs at an agreeable charge.
Attached you will find invoices, work orders and computer screen prints
containing notes that will outline the history of the customers experience, and
provide some defense for ourselves here at Columbus Diesel Supply. You will
find the first repair order in detail as to what was diagnosed and repaired.
The second invoice is included with a diagnosis and details of repair along
with a copy of our original work sheet. The copy of the work sheet shows
notation of approval by the customer on 11/18. In comparing the diagnosis and
repairs on the second invoice, you will agree that they are unrelated to
repairs from the original invoice. The third invoice for repairs is included
for your viewing as well. You will see this dated 8/18 which is ten months from
the last invoice, which would indicate the customer was satisfied with the
previous repairs. Again you will see the diagnosis and repairs are not related
to any parts or service CDS provided on previous orders. Also provided for this
invoice is a copy of the original work sheet and a screen print of the notes in
the computer showing the communicated cost and approval by the customer. The
final invoice attached is for warranty repairs made for the previous order. CDS
replaced and serviced at no charge due to the failure of a manufacturer’s part.
Truck was test driven and put through an extensive observation period before it
was returned to the customer with no issues or codes.
  In conclusion I
would like to believe that we have provided enough history and information to
grant closure to this complaint. The consumer’s complaint indicates more than
once that we never communicated the cost or nature of repairs made. The
documents attached show that we did indeed communicate at an acceptable level.
I’ll be the first to agree and admit to any failures, for none of us are perfect,
but here at Columbus Diesel Supply we strive for “EXCELLENCE in SERVICING the
CUSTOMER” which gets us pretty close. We truly value any complaint a customer
may have in hopes to provide a learning and developmental experience for our
company. With that said we still value and respect the customer which has filed
this complaint and will continue to provide them and the consumers of Central
Ohio area with the best diesel parts and service available.

Sincerely,

J. Brad Fry
