This customer applied for credit to purchase a Saturn
Aura from our dealership on 4/27/He listed full-time employment on his
credit application in addition to
income benefits from Social SecurityHe furnished us the attached
earning statement from his employer for the period 4/11/to 4/24/We delivered the
vehicle based upon the information he gave usThe lender made a routine
employment verification contact two days later and discovered our customer had
not been employed there for a considerable period of timeSince we had no
other finance sources available, we notified the customer that we had to get
our vehicle back and void the transactionThe car was eventually returned two
weeks later (5/11/15) and we refunded the customer’s entire cash down payment

I am rejecting this response because:
My conerns were filed on October 31st that was 19 days ago and this is an unacepptable response. The dealership need to address the my concerns during the visit. [redacted] needs to address how they are going to handle my concerns AND how they are going to address the dealership on how they failed to take me back to my car BEFORE they performed any work. Regards, [redacted]

[redacted] brought the vehicle in on 1/30/15 for two concerns. She stated the powersteering was inoperative and another shop said the pump was bad. She alsostated the vehicle had no heat. [redacted] , quoted hera half hour diagnosis on each concern ($54.00 for each concern) which sheapproved. He explained to...

her that we could not guarantee the other shopsdiagnosis and that is why we would have to perform our own diagnosis, which sheagreed to. Our technician took the vehicle back and confirmed the powersteering pump was bad. He also diagnosed that the no heat concern was due to abad thermostat. He also recommended that the coolant be flushed out because itwas very contaminated which may have contributed to the thermostat failure. [redacted]called [redacted] and gave her the estimates for the power steering and thermostatrepairs as well as flushing the cooling system. She said she needed to contacther husband. Mr. [redacted] called back and stated there was a miscommunication andthat he did not want the power steering diagnosed. He indicated to [redacted] that hewould not pay for the diagnosis on the power steering even though Venusauthorized it. [redacted] stated that he would waive the diagnosis on the powersteering but still provided an estimate. Mr. [redacted] then stated that ourestimate for the power steering pump replacement (factory part), which alsoincluded flushing the power steering fluid was too high according to Cars.com.[redacted] then quoted the thermostat replacement at $152.82 plus the diagnosis of$54.00. He also quoted the cooling system flush at $119.00. All quotes includedtax and misc/haz material fees. Mr. [redacted] told [redacted] the price of our coolingsystem flush was too much and he would get it done someplace else. [redacted] statedto Mr. [redacted] that if we did not do the cooling system flush with thethermostat that could not guarantee the repairs. Mr. [redacted] still authorizedthe thermostat replacement. The technician performed the thermostat replacementand verified there was heat blowing from the vents inside the vehicle.             Thecustomer picked up the vehicle after service was closed on 1/31/15. Thecustomer called back on Monday and stated that the blower fan in the vehiclewas not working after picking up the vehicle on 1/31. We had the customerreturn the vehicle on 2/2/15 and found the blower fan would start running whenwe moved the wires and connector to the blower fan which is located under thedash area. We gave the customer a quote of $505.76 to replace the blower fanmotor because the wires and the connector were melted to the fan motor due toage and corrosion. Mr. [redacted] contacted me strongly stating that he would notpay for the repairs because we broke the fan while it was in for the thermostatrepair. I assured Mr. [redacted] that there was no reason for us to be in that areaof the vehicle to cause any damage to the fan motor. Mr. [redacted] was not happywith that. Although we did not cause any damage to the blower fan motor Ioffered to cover the labor to replace the fan motor if Mr. [redacted] paid for theparts ($230.53). The customer asked if he could buy the parts himself if I wouldstill honor the labor. Again, in the effort to make the customer happy Iagreed. The customer was able to locate the fan motor but not the connector. Hepurchased the connector ($45.26) from us and we installed the parts. I alsoinformed Mr. [redacted] that there would be no warranty on this repair because heprovided his own blower fan motor. The old parts were returned to Mr. [redacted].              Thecustomer picked up the vehicle on 2/13/15. He brought the vehicle back in tothe service drive without leaving stating the heat was not working. He left thevehicle and I checked it the next morning. I pulled the vehicle in to theservice drive because the outside temperature was below 10 degrees. We checkedthe coolant and it still looked contaminated even though Mr. [redacted] stated hehad the coolant flushed. I let it run for about 15-20 minutes and I noticedthere was very little heat on the driver’s side but there was good heat comingfrom the passenger side. [redacted] called the customer and explained to him what washappening. The customer told [redacted] that we should be responsible for fixing theconcern. [redacted] explained that even though the concern was still with the HVACsystem it was a completely different concern than they came in for originally. The original concern was no heat at all and this concern was where the heat wasbeing directed. [redacted] then proceeded to quote diagnosing the current concern. Thecustomer stated he needed to contact someone. He called [redacted] back and asked usto remove the thermostat and refund his money. [redacted] and I both told the customerthat we would not do this because the new thermostat that we replaced was nowcontaminated. Also the thermostat did fix the original no heat concern. We didnot write a repair order on this final concern because the customer would notagree to pay for diagnosis. On my final phone conversation the customer voicedhis displeasure and hung up on me.

To Whom It May Concern:A consumer complaint was file on 03-03-2017 under ID [redacted] against Columbus Mitsubishi North, 8600 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43235, 614-436-2001. A phone meeting was conducted with [redacted] and [redacted] on 03-07-2017 after salesman, [redacted] failed to respond to a number of contacts prior to this phone meeting, but alerted [redacted]'s per my text requests. The issues of my complaint were discussed including but not limited to a purchase of a 2010 Steel Blue, Ford Escape Limited Edition, VIN#: [redacted]. Two issues arose around the transaction, one (1.) a questionable mechanical issue of the vehicle's coolant system that unable to be tested before or during unless performed by the dealer's mechanics and two (2.) a question of possible odometer fraud and/or tampering under Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 4549.42 (A)(B) Sale or use of fraudulent odometer. After a review of concerns of both parties. [redacted] offered a resolve to rescind the purchase & loan transaction for the above said vehicle in full, as well as fully refund my (the Buyer's) down payment of $500.00. Columbus Mitsubishi North agreed to absorb all costs including but not limited to taxes, title, temporary tag, loan fee(s) and any other documentation fee(s) or generation fee(s) associated with the transaction. In return, I, the buyer agreed to retract all complaints to including bit not limited to the Revdex.com (Revdex.com), Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), Ohio Dept. of Public Safety (ODPS), Ohio Attorney General's Office (AG), Delaware City Police Department (DPD), Online Business Bureau, etc.,and retract legal action against the dealership (as stated above and herein) and specifically salesman known as [redacted], including but not limited to Ohio Revised Code(s) 4517.12 (5), pursuant to 4517.14 (D) pursuant to 4517.25 (A)(B), pursuant to complaint filed to Motor Vehicle Dealer's Board under 4517.30  pursuant to 4549.41, 4549.42, 4549.43, 4549.44, 4549.45, pursuant to 4549.451, pursuant to 4549.46, pursuant to 4549.47, 4549.50 and 4549.52 in connection with odometer discrepancies as well as investigation by Delaware County Prosecutor and the Ohio Attorney General Office regarding (4549.47) above ORC's as well as with a possible known mechanical issue of the vehicle's coolant system leaking and potentially causing immanent engine failure.  Further, I (the buyer) returned the vehicle to the dealership as promised on 03-08-2017 and met with [redacted]. His statement afforded to the Revdex.com is correct. Lender, [redacted]'s  Virtual [redacted], was also contacted on 03-08-2017 to make the Lender aware of the resolve.  [redacted] and I had a very positive and constructive conversation and per his statement to the Revdex.com, the vehicle was inspected and accepted back and all original transaction documents were destroyed in my presence. [redacted] also was very pleasurable and assuring to assist me in any future auto purchase(s) which I further accept.[redacted]'s handled the matter in a very speedy, understanding, respectful manner and acted with integrity to handle the matter in the best possible way, and per our agreement. Therefore, I request that this complaint to the Revdex.com be removed from public view (if all possible), but kept on file with the Revdex.com if so needed per the Revdex.com's policies, requirements, etc.  Per the facts of this statement, I consider the matter fully resolved and respectfully hope that the Revdex.com will honor my request and [redacted]'s agreement to remove Complaint ID #[redacted] from public view along with any negative remarks. In closing, [redacted] (Columbus Mitsubishi North) could have easily rejected to the above resolve and sought profit over integrity as well as allowed the matter to escalate to even a legal matter. Among 2 small businesses, I also run a consumer protection (awareness, not an attorney) organization on a number of social media sites after becoming a victim of Big Banks, Wall Street and Corporate greed of 2008 (which was explained to [redacted] along with the reasoning for the purchase). We have no shortage of businesses who rather take the "lower" road with deceptive business practices rather handle a matter as [redacted] in this matter. For that I give him a lot of respect and kudos for for his integrity and will be giving his auto dealership positive reviews. Unfortunately, this complaint was processed a bit quicker than I could get this response to the Revdex.com and honor my end of our mutual agreement/resolve.Respectfully,[redacted]
