Comfort & Cozy Apartment

I have had numerous issues with the apartment owner taking care of repairs in the apartment. I have reached out many times to have him fix these issues but he just won't do it or if he does, it's not in a timely manner and/or might not even be fixed properly. Some of the issues include the shower not working properly, fridge having food go bad, dishwasher going out, garage door not closing, mailbox not closing properly to keep people from having access to my mail. As it stands right now, the garage door still doesn't work and shut properly. This is a safety hazard to me because it leaves the building accessible to the general public. Basically, the building isn't secure. The other day he came to pick up my rent check and stayed outside and just honked the horn over and over. I had given my check to my son to bring outside because I could not do it because I am recovering from surgery. I texted him yesterday (2/6) to ask about the repairs again. He never responded. When I brought back up the repairs today via text, he responded several hours later and said he was out of town and would be until Monday. I responded immediately back and asked him to not honk at me the next time he comes to pick up the rent. Maybe two or three minutes later, he called and told me that if I didn't like the way I was being treated, I can always leave. Then he hung up. This took me back. I tried calling him back twice and he didn't answer either time. Then I texted him and asked about the repairs and still no response. I don't feel safe here, I feel like the building is not secure and am always anxious when I have to call him. He's just a slumlord and if I am paying for something, I want it to be functional. I don't think that is too much to ask for. I have been here for two years and only been late one time, I've never caused any issues and don't understand why I am being treated this way.
