[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] ***, Owner has NEVER tried to contact my home phoneOwner NEVER contacted either me or my wife by cell# to resolve complaintI have attempted multiple times to contact the owner and left several messages and have NEVER received a responseService tech is unable to schedule a time that is after 1:in the afternoon and is not available on SaturdaysAdvise owner – DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STOP BY OUR HOUSE WITHOUT PRIOR APPOINTMENTPlease advise the owner that we do not wish for him to continue to stop by our residence without prior appointmentHe has only attempted to stop by WITHOUT appoint to our household ONCE to our knowledge and my year old mother does not feel safe to answer the door for strangersWe also feel that this is completely unprofessional at this point in the complaint processAs of today’s date – 4/8/– we are still unable to use our main living area of our home to watch TV/entertain due to the fireplace not working in a safe mannerFireplace is UNSAFE to useFireplace installation was never satisfactorily completed Regards, [redacted] ***

The business refunded my depositHowever, I’ve spoken to several dissatisfied customers of this business. They don’t answer their phones, they don’t return calls, they hire sub-standard help who only come out to “assess” the situation and service techs never carry spare parts. They order incorrect parts as well

Their installers do not know what they are doing Noone in the office (assuming you can get someone to even answer the phone) will ever return your call We were over-billed and called them repeatedly to issue us a credit, and didn't receive any return calls As a result of the over-billing, we filed a dispute with our credit card company and THEY couldn't even get a return phone call Our gas fireplace installation was done incorrectly and now we need to call and pay a completely different company to fix it Read the "ripoff reports" on this company -- they're a scam!

I bought a wood burning stove from this company years agoI purchased a VistaThey brought a Challet when they came to installI was told they are comparable & all of that so I allowed itA bolt fell out of the bottom of my stove in which controls the damper & I need new baffle platesI have been trying since December to get ahold of the company so they can come fix these issuesI ACTUALLY got a returned phone call back in December about thisThe man who I spoke to asked me about the stove I was calling about b/c it was different from what they had in their records; only to find out they still had the Vista that I purchased as the one I receivedSo a day later he called back letting me know a price for the baffle platesI told him I would call back to orderWell I have been trying to get ahold of someone ever since then & I have no such luckI have left numerous messages for themI have since learned that the brand they installed is a Canadian stove & it is very difficult to get parts for this insertI have no idea how the bolt could have possibly fallen out from the bottom of the unitThe only reason we even found it was b/c we took the front cover of the blower offI am beyond frustrated & annoyed with this companyI don't understand how they can run a business in such a waySo I spent the majority of my winter without my stove working b/c this company is junk!!

I purchased a home and with the home purchase was the (promised) installation of a fireplace insert, which had not yet been installed at the time of the home purchase but the previous owner conveyed the paid receipt to me.
I've been trying to call Comfort Home and Hearth now for over a month now.
They don't return my phone calls after I leave a message, or answer their phone -- all I get is a recording whenver I call -- daytime, evening, morning -- when they say their store is open.
I just would like this fireplace insert installed according to what the original owner was invoiced.

The check was cashed on February 24, 2015 in the amount of $660 by [redacted].Comfort Home and Hearth spoke to [redacted] after Refund was mailed by phone on February 15th. He stated he never received check and we mailed a replacement check which he cashed with no further correspondence.It has been well documented for the past 2 years that there is a wood pellet fuel shortage in the Northeast of the United States.Hopefully this closes this matter .SincerelyChuck M[redacted]Comfort Home and HearthSent from my [redacted]

4. Advise owner – DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STOP BY OUR HOUSE WITHOUT PRIOR APPOINTMENT. Please advise the owner that we do not wish for him to continue to stop by our residence without prior appointment. He has only attempted to stop by WITHOUT appoint to our household ONCE to our knowledge and my 87 year old mother does not feel safe to answer the door for strangers. We also feel that this is completely unprofessional at this point in the complaint process.
5. As of today’s date – 4/8/2015 – we are still unable to use our main living area of our home to watch TV/entertain due to the fireplace not working in a safe manner. Fireplace is UNSAFE to use.
6. Fireplace installation was never satisfactorily completed.
