I was recommended to stay here for my wedding in July Not only were we treated bad by the staff, the rooms we were booked in had people already in them, the AC was not working and we were told to deal with it by the staff.The sinks in the room leaked with out being fixed and calling maintenance three timesMy mother got so sick form the heat that she almost missed my ceremonyWe were told by the staff they would fix the issues more than once giving us hope and trying to keep us in the hotelUnfortunately all other hotels were booked and we had no choice but to suffer The contract we signed wasn't honored and they held my card information after we checked out and charged me for rooms two months laterI would not recommend this establishment for any affair or casual stay for any bodyWorst hotel I've been in my entire life and I travel a lot and around the worldI would rather had stayed in a motel six then in this hotel

The guest stayed in our hotel July 27-July 30thThis guest was part of a wedding group blockThe rooms were contracted by the familyThe reservations were each made individuallyThe guest departed and received their invoice which showed paymentSeveral days later the guest called the hotel to
complain about the hotel and asking for money off her invoiceThe hotel in the name of hospitality took $off the invoice totaling $This was the agreed upon amountWe received this claim via the Revdex.com of Washington DC that she was to receive half of the $On, August 23"we credited an additional $off her invoiceThe hotel would like to put this to rest.Concerning the former guest claims that the hotel was not cleanWe are inspected by Choice Hotels International and have never had a failing score in cleanliness.Our pool is maintained by *** PoolsThis is an outside contract*** Pools takes additional effort every year to make certain that the pool is up to standardThe pool is inspected by Prince Georges County and any infraction has been correctedUntil this guest (and this wedding party) we have never had any complaints about sharp edges in the poolWe referred this over to *** Pools for further investigation however they did not find any problems

To whom it may concern:In regards to complaint file [redacted]This reservation is a guaranteed reservation for a special event weekend as our area had both the THS Soccer tournaments taking place as well as the University of [redacted] graduation that was held at [redacted]...

University. Both of these city wide events garnered reservations far exceeding our hotels 169 rooms as our hotel turned down thousands of reservations during this time period. The guest who represents ID [redacted] had a reservation for 4 nights which was typical for this time period -- authorizations were placed on the credit card prior to the event which is typical for a city wide event such as this — this would represent an industry standard practice.A no show charge is also an accepted industry Standard and was charged to guest ID [redacted] at an amount of 147.34 as indicated on the attached folio. The original 250.00 authorization was reduced by 102.66 by an adjustment made on 05/23/14 which is also indicated on the folio attached. The no show charge represents a charge of one nights room (139.00) and state tax (8.34) which is also an accepted norm in our industry.When the guest contacted the hotel he was asked to supply a cancellation number which is given at the time of any cancellation — this was not supplied to the hotel therefore we are within in our right to hold strong to the no show charge.If anyone has any questions regarding complaint file [redacted] they can feel free to contact me directly at [redacted] ext [redacted] and I will be happy to assist them.Respectfully,
