To Whom It May Concern: Customer: *** *** This letter is in regards to a complaint about our services for a guest staying with usWould like to tell you that we are a highly recommended hotel in our area, we are honest and very fair to our guestsThis particular guest, had a dog in
one of our pet rooms when she left our housekeeping noticed the dog had an accident on the carpetWe have recently remodeled our entire hotel with everything from the floors upWe work hard to keep the carpets and furniture newWe also are the only hotel in our area that has designated rooms for our guests with pets, which shows we care about all of our guests and to make sure they all have an enjoyable and memorable stayWe did charge our guest a cleaning fee for the carpet which is twenty-five dollars, and we do it ourselvesIf we had a business come and do it for us it would be a one-hundred dollar chargeAs we do for all extra charges we send pictures or a video to our guests to show what we have foundWe have never been accused of trying to "scam" our guests with anythingWe are more than willing to send the video to the guest involved if she would likeWe all work as a team and take pride in our property and our guests are very important to usWe feel that our charges we have are more than fair because we do our own cleaning and repairs but please understand we have no choice but to charge guests when their pets do stain or damage our rooms, also when we have to clean carpets we also lose a days' charges for the room, we have to make that up in some wayThank you for your timeSincerely,KK P*** General Manager Comfort Inn Fruita, Colorado

Thanks for you inquiry and we are sorry to say we cannot refund anymore to the guest.We will keep the $charge for the stained room carpet

I am rejecting this response because:Why?? I am only asking for my money back, you have no proof of stained carpet! It was wet from spilled water from my dog's water bowl. I'm sure I tripped over it. Where is your proof? The hotel says it has proof.  This hotel does not even say why I'm not getting a refund. All they have to do is ignore this complaint and they get away with this and nothing is being done.  The hotel knows this matter will be dropped when they ignore my complaint. Where is the justice in this?

I am rejecting this response because:This business did not notify me of any charge, I found it on my statement days later.  I was charged $50.00 for carpet cleaning, not $25.00 like they said they charged. I paid $100.00 for this room and then charged $50.00 more.  Not worth the money and this room does not have new carpet or any new renovations like the business claimed.  This business did not respond to my complaint or answer any questions pertaining to this complaint. This hotel has never notified me by phone or by email.  I was told by the manager I would receive an email with "proof" my dog wet the carpet. I have not received it yet. My dog does not wet the floor at home and did wet their carpet.  When my dog drinks, he spills water on the floor or I could have tripped over his water bowl and spilled it. I walked my dog around the hotel plenty of times for this not to happen. My dog is not puppy, he is 8 years old and has never wet the floor at home. This business needs to refund my money, they are a rip off and not even telling the truth here.
