I booked a two night stay with this hotel for Oct 25 & 26. We were placed in room 306. When I woke up in the AM, we found a bed bug. I put it on a plate and covered it with a plastic cup and brought it down stairs to the front desk. I was being discrete and waited for other guests to not be at the desk as it was just after breakfast time. Nikki was at the desk, she apologized saying it was unacceptable, said that they just had the exterminators in, and moved us to room 215 on a different floor. After we moved our belongings into the new room and inspected it we got ready for the day. I went to the front desk and told Nikki thank you for moving us and stated that I'd like to discuss compensation for this unacceptable incontinence and her answer was yes of course but the manager isn't in on the weekends, so she can't process a refund, and she took my information down saying that she would be the one I'd be speaking with, she'd be there until Thursday, and we'd take care of it. I called Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and was thrown dodge *** No one would let me speak with a manager! Finally, Savon speaks to me. He told me that their head housekeeping inspector didn't find anything and that they had pest control come in and spray the whole building as a precaution, so I wouldn't receive any compensation. I told Savon, I was very discreet about the situation at hand, for I have worked in a hotel and I know how that could have caused an uproar among guests and I know what a bed bugs look like. ALL STAGES! I explained that I was asking for compensation of one night not both nights as for the second night the room was fine, and I am a very reasonable person. He told he would get back to me. Never did. I called AGAIN on Thursday, FINALLY spoke with Nikki, who couldn't stop repeating herself because she was so anxious about feeding me lies. She again said she would call me back. Never did. Today, Monday, 8 days after check out, Savon answers, I ask to speak to Nikki, she goes on to tell me that it was not a bed bug. I cut her off because I know she's going to ramble anxiously and I say Nikki, they don't pay you enough to lie. She immediately says that she is not comfortable speaking with me anymore and hangs up. I called back 20 minutes later and STILL Nikki and Savon will not let me speak with a manager. Bottom line, it is unacceptable to find a bug of any kind in your bed and that should be compensated AND its unacceptable for a manager to not do their job!

Dear ***,Bringing a bug on a plate to the front desk is not being discrete. However the Comfort Inn & Suites does understand how inconvenient it is to have to deal with having a bug in your room which is why it was brought to the Managers attention and we apologize that you dealt with this circumstance and have refunded your stay. However, we did conduct a thorough investigation with pest control and have concluded there was no trace or sign of bed bugs in this room. We take bed bugs very seriously and try to ensure this hotel is bed bug free. Once again we apologize for this inconvenience.Best RegardsKristy C

I booked a trip to New York and my reservation to Comfort inn & suites at maspeth, New York city, I booked on may *** to may ***. Unfortunately I was not able to go to new York and did not stay at the hotel, due to a family emergency. I explained to the receptionist by the name April which was really unprofessional and rude, she told me and my boyfriend we need a document as proof of medical needs, I explained am unable to provide that as medical is all confidential information and that was not the only reason why we couldn't go to the trip. I asked to speak to a manager several times, first they said manager is on vacation, did not say when manager will be back. I called again and asked for a manager then they said there is No manager available, I asked when Is a manager going to be available, April said does not know. I asked is there No manager at all at that hotel, she responded I didnt say that, have your boyfriend call in and hung up. Overall I am unable to speak to a manager whatsoever. I have never experienced something like that. Basically me and my boyfriend lost our funds to that un used reservation. Priceline which I booked it through also did nothing at all. Horrible experience.

ON 5/GUEST *** HAD A RESERVATION THROUGH PRICELINE, PRICELINE CALLED TO CANCEL ON 5/*. THE HOTEL CANNOT CANCEL SAME DAY RESERVATION FOR CHECKING IN, CANCELLATION POLICY IS 24HRS PRIOR TO CHECKING IN. ON 5/GUEST CALLED AGAIN AND SPOKE WITH A FRONT DESK AGENT, GUEST TRIED TO CANCEL. FRONT DESK EXPLAINED WE CANNOT CANCEL AND IF IT IS FOR MEDICAL REASON THE HOTEL WILL NEED A LETTER FROM HOSPITAL/DOCTOR THAT NAME OF GUEST WAS PHYSICALLY IN HOSPITAL WITH OR WITHOUT DETAIL OF MEDICAL EMERGENCY/REASON. FRONT DESK AGENT EXPLAINED TO GUEST WE WILL HAVE TO SPEAK WITH PRICELINE IN ORDER TO REFUND OR MODIFY RESERVATION. THE PERSON WHO WAS CALLING THE HOTEL FOR THE REFUND, THEIR NAME WAS NOT ON THE RESERVATION AND THAT ALSO WAS EXPLAINED, WE AT THE HOTEL CANNOT RELEASE PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE THAT IS NOT ON THE RESERVATION. THE FRONT DESK CAN ONLY RELEASE INFORMATION TO EITHER THE THIRD PARTY THE RESERVATION WAS BOOKED THROUGH OR THE EXACT NAME ON THE RESERVATION. FURTHERMORE THIS WAS NOT BOOKED DIRECTLY WITH OUR HOTEL WE PAY COMMISSION TO THIS *** PARTY AND THE GUEST ARE ALWAYS REFERRED BACK TO THE *** PARTY WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR *** PARTY RESERVATIONS THE GUEST MUST CONTACT THE *** PARTY. THE *** PARTY THEN CONTACTS US AND THEY MAKE THE DECISION. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT FOR OUR COMPANY.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because I have called the *** party which is Priceline I booked the reservation through, and I was told to contact the hotel as is Comfort inn suites and have the manager refund back if they approve it. If I have to as well I will also submit a complaint for the *** party Priceline as well.
