Comfort Inn - Swift Current

While searching the web for possible accommodations in swift current a price of 124.99 came up for a room that was said to have a sofa and queen bed, ground floor with patio. [redacted] I called the number and was quoted a price of $145, when I questioned this I was told the price online was in American dollars. I decided to accept the price based on the spacious room I was told I would get as advertised on the reservation desk website. Upon arrival we received a room with a queen bed on the ground floor...patio doors onto a sidewalk in the parking lot. There was no screen on the patio doors and they were in poor working order. Basically it was used as an alternate exit. [redacted]. When asked about the room I was guaranteed I was informed that no such room existed. I said I was disappointed in the false advertisement of their affiliate/partner and that if I had known I would not have chosen this hotel because it was quite expensive. I showed the confirmation email I received. The front desk seemed surprised at the rate I was paying but offered no reduction in rate for me. I complained to the desk manager the following morning and followed up with an email to the head hotel manager. [redacted]. I admitted the error on my part - not realizing I was booking through one of their advertising partners and not the hotel directly. I expected that the hotel would accept responsibility for allowing their hotel to be falsely advertised and some customer service, as well as ensuring the practice does not continue.
