COMFORT INN

Our bed was infested with bed bugs. Like on another level. We had to leave the hotel at 1:30am and did not have a car. This is the middle of no where. The receptionist was extremely rude and said she wasn't sure if she would be charging us for the night as it was up to her manager. She did not offer any assistance to help us. That night - we noticed a $325 security deposit on our credit card (which we were not informed of nor did we authorize), that they have not removed yet as they can't get a hold of the 'manager'. There were at least 40 moving bugs on our bed. Thank god we were at a wedding in the area and only spent 10 minutes in the room. We had to cancel our entire weekend plans, rush home and have spent hundreds of dollars already professionally cleaning everything- shoes, bags, clothes and the car it was transported from. This was the most deplorable hotel we have ever stayed in ever - and we travel a lot. It was the rude attitude we received and still the security deposit that has not been reversed. There is no way they were not aware of these bugs because of the volume they were there in which is why we are reporting this. Even with their head office involved- they are not assisting in a timely fashion. I have a picture of the bug. The smell was disturbing. This must be fixed for the health and safety of other guests.
