I hired a -PCA from Comfort Keepers for days a weekThey guaranteed their workers were honest, caring and reliableI gave $up front depositBut the aide seemed to be a bit off base, poking in drawers, closets, and then going for groceries, not buying the because she said my debit card was blockedI called the bank, no problem with the cardI told her to do the groceries first thing the next dayBut she waited till the end of the dayI had to ask for the card and receipt which she did not hand meAn hour later, Bank fraud called and said they had just blocked a series of large attempted withdrawalsI could not find my card! They said, stop lookingYour card was just used in a nail salon I cancelled my service with Comfort Keepers immediately when a [redacted] search revealed a series of traffic violations and possible involvement in mail fraudThe bank sent a County investigator but still they kept her on The last straw was--the company sent me a bill for the days she

September 15, 2017Revdex.comK Street NW, 10th Floor Washington, DC 20005We are sincerely sorry about this situationWe have credited this client for the remaining balance of the invoice (S255.20)We run thorough background checks on all potential caregivers before they help any of our clientsWe use a nationally accredited background check company that has been providing background Screening services since The background check for the caregiver involved with this client came back cleanWe also have a monitoring service for all employees which will notify usifa Caregiver is involved with the law while in our employmentNothing was reported about this caregiver during her employment with usGoing forward Comfort Keepers will do its own internet search in addition to the Criminal background check that is currently run.When [redacted] brought the allegations to our attention, we immediately put the caregiver on restricted duty pending further investigationOn August 14" we requested [redacted] provide us with the details of the fraudulent charges from the bank so we could investigate further, speak to our insurance Company and possibly press charges ourselves but unfortunately she was notable to provide themWe have since terminated this caregiver from employment.We received a call from [redacted] regarding her invoice and not wanting to pay it on 8/25/I was away on vacation at the time of her call and unfortunately didn't get back to [redacted] as quickly as should haveI did credit her account on 9/10/and nothing is due from [redacted] ***Comfort Keepers had no intention of Collecting the amount due from [redacted] until we got to the bottom of the allegationsThe invoice was automatically generated and sent out in the course of businessAfter the initial invoice was sent to [redacted] ***, Comfort Keepers did not pursue Collection in any wayAfter learning of this complaint, I called and personally spoke with [redacted] ***She was happy to learn the invoice Was Credited and We had a long discussion about preventing issues such as this from happening going forwardWeapologize for the delay in Confirming to [redacted] that the invoice was forgiven

The staff at Comfort Keepers accommodated me every step of the way when trying to arrange 24-hour supervised care, palliative care, and finally hospice care for a friend There was never a time that I was not kept informed of my friend's daily care, health vitals, visits and evaluations by other care agencies via phone - since I lived out of state(When I was physically there, the aids were professional, knowledgeable in their field of nursing, and more than helpful in every way)In particular, MsBarbara was exceptional in that she provided guidance, had a dedicated sense of our expectations, accompanied me to the hospital, rehab visits, etc She took great care in managing to align the staff with the personality qualities and experience to be of exceptional balance and comfort/reassurance for my friendThey have kept in touch with me through this grieving process, as well
