Overly excessive shipping charge for a replacement part.I contacted customer service on July 15th to inquire on the availability of a replacement AC Adapter (Part #: [redacted]) for my massage chair (Model #: [redacted]). Here is an excerpt of the response: Hello [redacted] We would be happy to help you with this matter, but there are a few things that must be brought to your attention. In order for us to ship the Adapter ($10.00) to you, you will be responsible for the shipping which will cost $72.00 and will take 3 to 5 business day. Thank you, [redacted]Desired SettlementI am more than willing to pay the $10 charge for the adapter and pay for reasonable shipping.[redacted] quotes a package shipped via First-Class Package International Service Value of contents can not exceed $400.00Max. length 24", max length, height and depth (thickness) combined 36"to be a total price of $11.75. Again a reasonable price.Business Response When customer first contacted us he was made aware that the part per his initial request was not available as the item he has is now discontinued. He then came back and asked if there were any other options, once he was made aware of a possible alternate solution this is when dispute arose. As it was stated initially, this was only an alternate option. If this is not feasible for the customer there is nothing further that we can offer. We have to go by the shipping prices that our warehouse has quoted, not a basic quote that a customer can receive from a general [redacted] site. This is also a shipment that would've gone to Canada hence the high charge. So, at this point, as the customer has already been made aware, the item he is searching for is now discontinued and we no longer have parts available.

Upon purchasing and assembling the product I noticed there was irregularity and parts did not fit properly. I received a replacement part. it failed.I purchased the item 12/27/2015 and received on 12/29/2015. Upon putting item together there was irregular parts and I emailed customer service on 01/08/2016. I received the adapter a week later. The adapter did not work and I had to tape it to keep the power to the chair. The item did not seem safe to use with the adapter partially slipping out of the plug. When adapter is taped half way up to allow electricity to enter the chair, it did not receive adequate power to power the vibration or heat consistently. This is a fire hazard if not fitted correctly and adequately powered.I emailed Comfort Products 2 more times. 02/11/2016 and 02/29/2016, there was no response. At this point I just want a replacement or a refund. At this time I have yet to recieve a replacement.

We cannot reach this company for warranty assistance.We purchased a Comfort Products XX-XXXXT Office chair on September 27, 2012 for $170.50 from [redacted] (via [redacted] order number: XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXX. We recently noticed a defect. Comfort Products requires you to contact support over the Internet. We have requested service twice with no response. We also tried to call the business only to receive a recorded message advising to file any issues on their Web site. We cannot find a telephone number that reaches a human. We are requesting a replacement seat cushion. The seat cushion is made of a leather and vinyl combination. The vinyl on the seat is cracking, peeling and splitting. We need a replacement seat assembly complete.Desired SettlementReplacement seat cushion under the term of the warranty.

I have tried on two separte occassions to contact this company in reference to replacing the ac charger, by their website and their fax contact.I have a massage chair I ordered for my husband which needs a replacement ac charger and I am willing to pay for it.Desired SettlementJust to have a replacement ac charger for the massage chair 60-6810Business Response Hello, Per investigation of our records, we emailed a response to [redacted]@yahoo.com on 2/27 with an order # and to make aware that the part was being shipped, we also mailed the needed part on the same date. the tracking # is 1[redacted] and is scheduled to be delivered today. Customer may want to check SPAM folder for response because it has been sent and item is to arrive soon. Invoice has also been attach to further confirm the ship date as well as tracking #.
