In response to Mr***'s claims:The furnace that we installed is a Ruud Achiever Plus Model R95TAs supporting evidence, I've attached a copy of the quote and invoice for the furnace and the warranty registration from RuudYou can see that we delivered as promised. The furnace we sold him
is approved for or pipe ventingOur installer found sufficient combustion air for the the furnace and determined that we only needed one pipeBecause I initially discussed a two pipe system Mr*** felt that we cheated himWhen he called about this, I tried to explain to him, but he had difficulty understandingI offered him a discount to accept the system as is, but he refused and demanded that we go to his house to install a second pipe for combustion airTo satisfy him, our installers went back at our expense and installed the second pipe. The condensate on the furnace was not draining correctly, which our installer fixed during that same visit.The noise issue that Mr*** is talking about was whistling sound caused by his filter not being inserted correctly, I showed that to him and he agreed that was the problem. We certainly want to make Mr*** happy, but he is refusing any help or consultation from usI have video recording of our conversation where he clearly states that he will not give us the opportunity to make him happy. We have tried our best to please Mr***, but find him to be unreasonableWe find his request to force us to pay our competitor to come out and bash our work to be unfair and could create even more problems

We feel that we are making every effort to do our due diligence and honor our guaranteesBut, Mr*** is unwilling to be reasonable and accept our offers to improve the quality of his installationOur contract with him is clearWe installed the furnace stated on the contractIt is operating satisfactorily and is installed safelyTherefore, we have met the terms of that contractWe feel that there is nothing more that we can do for himIf he chooses to hire another contractor, he does so at his own expenseAs you can see, we have offered repeatedly to make things right with him, but he is unwilling to allow us

I am rejecting this response because: Comfort Pros has had many chances to rectify all of the problems I and they have stated. Their lack of promptness and unkempt promises makes me believe they would drag this on forever. Scheduling appointments with them only seems to work if it fits Comfort Pro's time schedule. As I stated before, the only time they arrived when they said they would was to get paid. There for my offer to have them pay for a qualified heating and air professional of my choice stands. The straightening of the vent pipes is only a cosmetic fix. It does nothing to eliminate the blockage of the water heater. I have let them listen to the shrill noise coming from the bottom of the furnace and was told it was a lot more quite after the direct vent pipe was installed. They gave me no explanation of the cause.
