initial next to their rates in the hopes of avoiding this kind of confusion. I see that the discount code that the guest was using was applied and used on each night of their stay. Once again I am sorry there was confusion in this matter.

When I made my reservation I was given a quote per night. Nothing was said about rates going up each consecutive night. When quoted a rate the natural assumption is that rate will be true for each night unless told other wise. When I arrived at the hotel it was late, we were tired and ready to get to our room. The desk clerk handed me the paper and said "sign so that we can charge your visa" . Again nothing was said about rates being changed. I trusted the hotel to give me the rates quoted. Apparently I should have not trusted the hotel and read the paper. To quote one rate when booking a room then charging a different amount is trickery and unethical.
