Please remember that we waited for a month for the tub to be delivered and the remodel job started a few days after. So I have a torn out bathroom and a tub that is unusable in the space
I purchased a high-end tub from Home Depot that was built by your company. I received the tub last week and unboxed it. When purchasing the tub I clearly indicated that it would be used as an alcove tub and purchased the front skirt for it along with asked the buttons to be placed along the back wall instead of the front of the tub for placement of a shower door. I even purchased the railing and all the necessary supplies for this to be installed as an alcove tub.
When unboxing it I noticed that the knob control on the back wall is 1/4 inch from the edge of the tub. This does not leave any space to add the railing or to place tile in an alcove installation.
Someone from your warehouse even called to confirm everything and correct placement of everything. So now I'm left with a tub that cannot be installed as intended. I have added a photo of the button and the issue. What can be done about this?
I have come across a number of additional issues overall with this tub.
1: we already mentioned the fact that the knob is drilled too close to the sidewall.
2: The tub overall length is 59 in
3: The tub overall width is only 35 in
4: on both sides in the middle of the tub there seems to be a little hump where it looks like there was some manufacturing or issue pulling it from the mold so it has that cosmetic damage where that part is raised up like a pinch
5: One corner of the tub looks like it was rubbing the bottom of the box during chipping and has a part of the white missing.
I've included pictures of everything that is wrong with this tub.
Response from Kenny at their company:
Have Home Depot pick up the tub and send it back to us. You will get a full refund.
Right with a torn out bathroom. That's their solution. Don't expect this company to stand behind their product and work hard to keep your business
Company is advertising the incorrect sizing for products on their website. This is a deceptive business practice that deviates from Industry norms.
I ordered a Whirlpool/Air Bath 66x42 - White & Shower Base 36x36 on June 18th 2018. I received the products approximately 4 weeks later. When the products arrived there were two problems with it, a broken Whirlpool hose and the shower pan was 1/2 inch too short. I called the company and they sent me a new hose for the tub. However, for the shower pan they stated it was "normal" for it to be 1/2 inch too short and that if I wanted to send it back I needed to pay for the shipping. I did send it back to them, they received it. After taking possession of the item, they declared to the shipper that it was damaged in shipping and requested the shipper pick the item back up. There is no way to validate if the item was damaged in delivery or in their possession, because no one can validate what happened when the item was back in their possession. During this time, I disputed this with my credit card company, According to Chase, they spoke with Comfortflo who had admitted their mistake and had told Chase that they were sending me a check for the item. They never sent me that check. Now they are stating that if the item had not been damaged in the return process they would have reimbursed me. It is a fairly convenient excuse for them to say that. I packaged the item using the same packaging they had sent me. It is clear they do not want to reimburse me, they are still stating that the product is not improperly advertised on their website. They are still claiming that the product is within the industry standard. However, the replacement product I bought to finish my retro fit was 36 x 36. Additionally all of the other products sold through home depot and Lowes a dozen of them were all 36 x 36 and none of them were 35.5 x 36 as this company claims is the industry standard. When I can walk into any Home Depot and buy 4 different shower pans all of which are 36x36 and none of which is 35.5 x 36 clearly the industry standard is the otherway around.
I am purely seeking a refund of the $399.00 although I paid an additional $75.00 in shipping costs with insurance, the shipper is denying the insurance claim. Which furhter lends credence to the fact that the item was not damaged in shipping but in possession of the merchant. I am not requesting they reimburse me the shipping cost. A simple reimbursement of $399.00 will suffice to close out this issue.
Did you ever get your refund
