Todd Gore Homes built a spec home located at *** *** *** *** IN XXXXXAt the end of September we completed the construction of the home and had the landscaping
completed at that timeThere is an area toward the northwest corner of the lot that a group of trees and weeds had been growing wild and we sprayed weed killer on them
Around the second week of October, Mr*** contacted our office to let us know that the weed killer affected a small area of his yardMrGore went out a few days later to observe the issue and then told Mr*** that we would have our landscaping contractor fix this small section of yardDue to timing issues between the contractor and the weather we were unable to fix his yard at this time
Todd Gore Homes has never had any personal or professional dealings with Mr***He is a neighbor whose yard is adjacent to oursIt disturbs us greatly to know that anyone who is looking for a professional reference in regards to our company can read a complaint like this one and possibly judge us over something so small
If Mr*** would be willing to accept a small bag of grass seed to put in the area come springtime, we would be happy to provide that for him

MrGore had plenty of time to address my concernIt took multiple calls to even get a response from himWe differ greatly on what is a "small section" as I feel it is quite large and makes my entire property look bad(multiple neighbors agree and say they would be upset as well) I spent $in professional lawn care services this yearA bag of grass seed will not do as I feel it is a bit more involved than thatThank you for your time looking into this matter but Todd Gore Homes failed on their promise to repair so I will take care of it myselfIf time and weather were a factor why not a simple call to say sorry we could not get to it see in the spring? I do agree with MrGore that we have had no business dealings and this matter is not personalI believe any reputable business would have said yes that was us and quickly resolve

Mr*** has misunderstood our position on this matterWe never said that we would not fix this section of his yardWe simply said due to timing issues with our landscaping contractor and weather we were unable to take care of it at this timeWe only offered the bag of seed if he thought that he could complete the task soonerWe have also been unable to complete yards on new construction homes that we have closed within this same time frameWe apologize for not calling him, but we felt we did not need to because nothing had changed from the last conversation we had with him when we had met at the propertyWe were still planning on fixing it
And again for the record we have never had any contractual agreements with Mr***He was a neighbor on the adjacent property that we had built a home on

I have no reason to believe that Gore homes will fix this as getting them to talk to me was almost impossibleEspecially since I have no contract with them I'm certain they won't remember me come springIf they fix it in spring before I do it myself I'd be happy to accept proposal, just do not see that happeningMy only experience with MrGore was him speaking belligerently to meSo if fixed great, but again do not have faith in that happeningThank you for your time in this matter
