Commercial Cleaning And Remodeling Reviews (1)
Review: [redacted] (owner of C.C.R.S.) started a concrete job at our house April 15, 2014. The contract I signed stated that his team would "excavate, pour and level a 20 by 14, 22 by 13, and 8 by 12 cement pad. Provide rebar mesh, J base free draining fill plus concrete and labor and form 2 concrete steps and 1 sidewalk to front pad, 3-4 day job depending on weather conditions." When [redacted] came out to give me the bid we talked about for the 2 steps doing half circles, his exact words being "it'll look really nice when done." The last day [redacted] was here to do the steps (April 19th) he made the form and began pouring, I asked him why the form was so small and for only one step, [redacted] then told me that he looked up county regs the night before and that this step was as big as we could go (it is 2ft 9in by 1ft & square) Prior to this [redacted] asked me how big I wanted the steps and I told him I didn't want them huge but definitely big enough for me to walk out on turn around and shut the door. I let the issue go figuring I couldn't do anything about what the regs said. That next day I was at my in laws house (which is also in the county) and they had huge concrete steps around their house and it had been inspected as well. Monday I called [redacted] and told him what I had learned and that I wasn't happy with my step and he was very easy and told me he'd be out after he finished the job they were on to fix it. I waited two weeks, we then bought our shed kit to put on the 8 by 12 slab and discovered the slab was only 11ft 8in by 7ft 8in. My husband called again after he hadn't come back out and we discovered this new problem. He told us his employees had been in a wreck and he was handling things with that and to give him a week and he would call us back to come fix the step and slab. [redacted] never called back, I gave him two more weeks and called again, every call there after was either answered by his assistant or the answering machine, [redacted] never returned any of the calls and has yet to come fix it.Desired Settlement: Come back out and fix the step and the slab that was poured too small.
