Commercial Fire & Security, Inc. Reviews (1)

Review: I requested to cancel a new contract with them due to there un ability to protect my store. I was robbed and there products did not properly secure my store. I later contacted a lic. electrician and security installer and he explained the system was done incorrectly and the glass break is not a glass break and it is not wired to the system to alert the panel of the break in. My door was destroyed and the alarm was not sounded until the door was opened. I requested a contact number from central monitoring which "commercial stated they owns" they had no contact number for them. The only way to contact them was via email. They could not get my system up and running for 4+ days. After explaining all this to [redacted] he said he will sue me and he's got the best lawyers in the business. First it was 400.00 then 500.00 then 800.00 then thousands of dollars.Desired Settlement: Cease & Desist, do not contact me, do not approach my business, I will make arraignments to ship there equipment back to them. I will notify Nassau county Police to return there panel to them after there investigation.

Response:

The complainant is stating half truths in his statement. First the alarm as installed is covered by a contract between our company and [redacted]. Second the alarm was install as per the contract and per the scope of work outlined in the contract and agreed to by all parties. Third the alarm functioned fully as designed and on the night in question 11/**/14 the alarm detected a break in and our central station was notified by the alarm within 15 seconds. The [redacted] police were dispatched to the location and arrested the person who caused the break in. During the break in the intruder tried to stop the alarm and in doing so ripped the main alarm box from the wall. The [redacted] police took that equipment into evidence at that time. On Friday 12/**/14 at approx [redacted] contact our office asking to have the alarm reinstalled and our sales rep visited him that day. [redacted] did not want to pay the cost associated with the replaceme nt of the alarm equipment and during the negotiations he agreed to to a lesser fee with the understanding he would enter into a new agreement for an additional term, which he executed at that time and issued a check for the deposit. [redacted] agreed to the installation fee and installation date of Monday 12/**/14 at that time and that is noted in the agreement. [redacted] then at some point decided to change his mind and wished to cancel the agreement at which time he was told he was still responsible for the alarm equipment that was installed, damaged and missing. We have no issue terminating the agreement early but [redacted] and [redacted] are responsible to pay the agreed amount for the missing and damaged equipment as per the old and new agreements of $495.00 plus tax. Commercial Fire & Security, Inc. will seek all remedies available to us to recover monies due which will include legal action as per the agreements signed.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The agreement was year to year, if the glass break was installed as per our contract the alarm would of sounded before the person gained access to my business. You did not install a glass break. you have not acted in good faith and have caused extensive damages due to your lies. The alarm should of been triggered by the glass break over 15mins before he gained access, (the panel would never of been removed from the wall) but this could not happen b.c it was never connected to central or my system. Central also stated there was only 3 zones, front door, rear door, and motion once again no glass break. I have shipped with tracking all of your equipment and Nassau has been contacted to return evidence to you after the case. ?

[Your Answer Here]

I have spoke to DA lev they are going to do everything in there power to get your panel back asap. He wanted to know if that would stratify you? Also you stated there untested... These items would still be under the warranty of Honeywell, also since your talking about contracts why did I pay for a glass break that was fake? You want to dodge the real question how do you scam people into false sense of security?

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Response:

We have tried to resolve this matter but to no avail. At this point we are sending this matter over to our attorney and all previously offers of settlement which include the release of the contracts signed on 2/**/13 and the contract signed on 12/**/14 are withdrawn. We are instructing our attorney to enforce both agreements for the full amounts against [redacted], Shop At [redacted] as personal guarantee to the 2/**/13 and [redacted] as personal guarantee to the 12/**/14 contract. Again all previous offers of settlement are withdrawn. Be guided accordingly.[redacted]Commercial Fire & Security, Inc.
