I called my insurance company [redacted], as my motor was damaged in a fire. I took it to a repair shop called Commercial Refinishers a shop highly recommended on September 3,2013. This shop advertised they specialize in heavy truck repair. When the repairs was complete I was notified by the shop. I also received notice that the insurance had paid for the repairs prior to my inspection of my vehicle. I arrived to pick up my vehicle around November 21, 2013, I notice the four bezels for the rear brake lights was not repaired or replaced. I asked the shop owner regarding the bezels and he said he was unable to get the parts. I feel as long as he had the vehicle he could have notified me he could not get the parts, so I could make arrangements with another shop. I called bank [redacted] as I feel they should not have paid for the repairs until after I inspected the vehicle to ensure the repairs was satisfactory. The lady I spoke with said to me it was me who to it there, implying it was my fault for the shoddy repairs. I have searched and talked to several companies and the cost of the bezels are between $400.00 and $1,500.00.Desired SettlementI just want the bezels for the lights. The bezels have to be custom made as they are not mass manufactured.Business Response I have spoke with the customer since this complaint,as noted on the original estimate that the tail light bezels were no longer available from the manufacture, I would have to do some research to see if we could find anything from a RV salvage yard. when I spoke with Mr. [redacted] he said his nephew had located some and the price range was from $400.00 to $1500.00 and I told him to give me the information to where they were located and I would get the insurance adjuster to pay for them. as I said earlier, the light bezels were not on the original estimate. I am willing to do what I can to make the customer happy. my father started this business over 30 years ago and to my knowledge this is the first complaint that I know of that has been reported to the Revdex.com.thanks, [redacted]
