Thank you for the offer to have my complaint hear by an Arbitrator, but at this time I do not wish to pursue this option. Thank you MsR*** for your assistance with this complaint.

Dear Cindy,I appreciate your call and the opportunity to get this matter cleared up. I am going to send you several documents to prove my position on this, and to show that I have done everything in my power to try to resolve the matter directly with the homeowner.We were informed of a leak while I...
was on vacation. My son, Tyler, responded to the leak call personally. There were two more instances of leaking in the same area. I personally went to try to remedy the problem. Solving leaks is troubleshooting, and can't always be done without a hard test rain on the roof. I did feel that I had found the problem and that I had it corrected. Me and two experienced service techs from my company worked on this together. It leaked again in a very hard storm. I offered in an email to remove that part of the roof and do whatever necessary to correct it. I even offered to be standing there the whole time to ensure a good outcome. I took the complaint very seriously. In the history of this company, we have never had a customer refuse to let us repair a problem or correct a mistake. But, as you can see from the emails, I was not allowed to correct it. I don't understand how when [redacted] bragged on the quality of my workmen and the response to everything that she asked of me, how I got to be someone that she refused to even talk to. It just doesn't make sense. However, that is the decision that was made. So I offered to refund all of the amounts listed in the insurance settlement statement for the work that was yet to be completed. For some reason, it seems that [redacted] felt that the refund would come from the amount that she had paid. rather than the contract price. The full refund was given from the contract price of $37,585.07. A copy of the signed contract is attached. A refund was due of $684.61. Out of goodwill, I also increased the refund by $1,000.00, which will cover the cost of her deductible for her. This made a total refund of $1,684.61, A check in that amount was issued on 11/27/17. A copy of it is attached. I assured [redacted] that I wanted to do the right thing, as I still do. Please review the attached documents and advise me of any advice that you may have. The contract amount was changed to $37,585.07, which was a reduction from the original figure of $48,234.35 with the agreement that I could use the available funds as best as I could to get [redacted]'s house put back in as good or better condition than before the tree damage. {see contract language}
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
As the current release is written, I will not sign it. The section that discusses the disparagement of Commercial Roofing is ridiculous, and I will not sign anything that states I can't tell someone about the work that was completed at my home. If Commercial Roofing would like to rewrite the release and send it again, I will consider signing it. However, without the receipt of $2,718.33 this complaint can't be resolved. [redacted]
I am not willing to give money back that I do not owe, and I clearly don't owe money off of a contract amount that was not paid, except to be through with this unpleasant matter once and for all. That will require a release. I am willing to put forward a release for Ms. [redacted] review, and she can have it reviewed before moving forward. I am bending over backwards to do more than I should have to, but I must know that no further claims are going to be put forth. Awaiting your response. KB
