Commission Free Auto Repair, LLC Reviews (1)

This vehicle came in on 4/17/17 and the repair work was done on 4/18/17. The original complaint was that the vehicle was losing coolant. To determine whether or not this was the case, we pressure-tested the coolant system. The result was that there was a leak in the radiator, so we suggested that...

the radiator be replaced. Her estimate for the radiator replacement and refilling of the coolant, was $409.80. She authorized the repair and the work was done.Customer called 2 days after the repair had been done and stated "the hood release/latch was broke." Technician told the customer that the vehicle needed to be present in order to identify the issue with the hood release/latch. Owner of company stated that any damage done to the release/latch would be repaired upon inspection of the vehicle.Customer entered the building on 4/29/17 with a repair order from another shop estimating that the hood release/latch repair would cost $183.00. Owner offered to repair release/latch, but customer refused due to the fact that they said "I don't trust him."Customer also stated "3 of the ignition coils were semi-unplugged and 1 was unplugged."  During no point in the repair procedure for the radiator is a technician anywhere near the ignition coils. They are not related in any way.Customer also stated "radiator hose was not attached." This would not be possible as our method for refilling the coolant system involves pressurizing the whole system. If there is a leak, it will be detected immediately and have to be taken care of before being properly filled. At this point, Owner could not see a reasonable solution to the problem and asked the customer to leave if she was not willing to resolve the issue. She refused to leave and demanded a full refund for the radiator and the release/latch, which at this point, the technician had not been able to inspect. At this point, customer was asked to leave the property, as she was slandering our name to other customers who were present at the time. At this point, it had to be escalated to the point where, if she did not leave, the police would be called. She still refused to leave and waited for the arrival of the police. At this point, the police that were called to the building, advised the customer to leave the property, at which time she did. Prior to this complaint, there has been no contact with the customer.
