Mrs*** *** contacted us to repair her boilerWhen the techs arrived they found that the boiler was beyond repairThis boiler was not installed by Propane PlusWe informed Mr.s *** that she needed it replacedBeing February it was cold and needed to be done quicklyWe gave her
options and by no means pressured her to have us install a new oneWe gave her a quote and we require a 50% deposit which she paidThe remainder was to be paid within daysThat is standard operationShe agreed to the proposalWe installed the boiler and had her heat up and running the next dayThis job typically would be billed at about $10,but felt bad for the situation and gave a discountAfter the heat was up and running the account was past daysWe inquired about the payment that was due and she said that she had some land that she was selling and would be paying us soonEvery month it was put offShe did send us $on average per monthThis was never agreed upon for us to finance this jobThis was her decision and one that was not acceptableIf we were financing this we would not have discounted the install and would have set up termsWe do not typically self finance jobs but use a 3rd party vendorWe are a propane company not a financial institutionWe informed Mrs*** that her terms were not what we agreed upon and we would need payment as soon as possibleThis went on for monthsWe worked with her for months to try to get resolution and then she became hostile and would not communicate any more with usSince the boiler is in her home and in use we had no other avenue but to send this to collections as our hands were tiedIn this time period she only paid us an additional $on the $4,she owed us without interestThis would have taken years to be a zero balanceAs far as Mrs*** claims we owe her the $from the collection agency, that does not go to us but the agencyWe have no intention of refunding the $1,as Mrs*** has had ample time to pay, did not keep her end of the agreement, and abused our payment policyPropane Plus prides itself in providing exccellent customer serviceWe did for this client. She refused to pay the balance dueWe feel terrible that Mrs*** is having financial difficulties but after waiting months for payment we had no choice but to turn it in to collections when she would no longer take our calls.We are puzzled by the people died quite young comment and expensive machineThe boiler that was currently there was a low grade quality and the one that was installed was mid-upper gradeI believe the existing boiler was a poor grade and that is why if failed at an early lifeWe had nothing to do with that as we did not sell it to herI hope this clears up the matter as we really don't like the fact that we have had this complaint filed because of someone refusing to pay for service instead of poor performance on our part.Feel free to contact me directly if you need any other information.*** ***Owner of Propane Plus?
