Thank you for the letter you sent outlining a complaint made about our service to our very nicecustomer mentioned above.  We have contacted Mr. [redacted], had many internal conversationsconcerning his statements and offer the following information and resolution:With regard to the social security...

number indexed incorrectly, it rejected that day by IRS and it wasfixed within a day. The child that was entered was classified incorrectly (with no financial effect) wasnot corrected but an offer was made to amend that return at no cost to him.  Refunds includingrefundable tax credits were deferred this year by IRS until at least the 15th of February so no time waslost in receiving his refund.The amount of time Mr. [redacted] actually spent in the tax office may have been long due to the numberof folks filing at this time of year but that time may have been less than he stated in his letter.We specified in the return that his refund was to be directly deposited into his bank account. We put thecorrect banking information into our system but the bank rejected the refund for an unknown (to us)reason.  We were not responsible for the fact that his bank rejected the refund which then turned it into acheck.  We are sorry that he had troubie cashing his check.  There are, however, check cashingopportunities available localìy at a rate far less than $300.00.  The check could have been depositeclinto a local bank with no charge whatsoever.  I'm sure [redacted] would have beenglad to help.Since Mr. [redacted] had to spent extra time in our office, we are most willing to write him a check for$100.00 for his time and effort.We hope this offer will be satisfactory to Mr. [redacted] and that he might see his way to visit us again inthe future.Sincerely, Harry B.
