This HOA was built in and has never had it’s sewer lines jetted. The HOA hired *** to jet all sewer lines in the building. We started at the top of the building and posted staff at units below to clean up any overflow. Overflow showed up in *** ***’s ground floor unit
and staff was on the upper floors. Overflow was cleaned up but did damage *** ***’s his hard wood floor around the kitchen. *** *** asked for the HOA to replaced the damaged wood, which *** agreed to do, even though their contract specifically said that they were not responsible for damage. *** *** wants his entire hard wood floor replaced throughout his unit so that the wood will match. The wood in his unit is over years old and we cannot match the color and he has no extra wood. *** is willing to replace the damaged wood, but not his entire condo

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I never said replace the entire floor. I said a fair settlement for all those concerned, including myself, [redacted], CAP and [redacted]. I said repair or replace. The only reason $3000.00 was on the form is because I could not submit the form without a dollar amount. An estimate I got for replacing the floor was $3500-$4500. I knew that was not reasonable to anyone involved, including myself and said just that in the complaint. Also, their response has several errors. The process was started from the bottom up to the higher floors. In other words, Basement and First floor Day1, Second floor Day 2, Third floor Day 3 etc... Tenth floor was done on or about Day 10 or 11. This is what I was told by onsite management. Flooring is damaged outside bathroom as well as the kitchen as both sinks overflowed.  I still think someone with knowledge of flooring (insurance adjustor, flooring contractor) should estimate the total cost of repair. I do not think I want [redacted] plumbers attempting to repair the floor on their day off.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
