Upon inspection, we did discover that five windows do need to be replaced due to manufacturer's defect The manufacturer will provide replacement windows at no cost to the consumer per the manufacturer's warranty They will not issue a refund or rebateWe are willing to work with the consumer based on the manufacture's structure

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 8, 2014/08/27) */ The window job was finished except for the caulking As of today the windows are completely finished and the contract is fulfilled The window in question is exactly as the contract states The consumer verbally requested the bathroom glass be obscured, well after the contract was written CBI will install the obscure glass at no charge

A Community Builders salesman came to my home a few years ago when getting bids to replace our windows I got the same "high-pressure", "buy now", "prices not guaranteed after I leave" tactics other reviewers have mentioned Recently, I was out walking a Satafternoon with my family, when a couple of poorly-maintained cars stopped in our neighborhoodSeveral people got out and scattered Someone approached me, still smoking a cigarette, wearing headphones around his neck, and not dressed professionally This is how our exchange went: Salesman: "Hey, man Are you going back to your house?" Me: "Yes, why?" Salesman: "Would you like a quote for windows, roofing, or siding?" Me: "No thank you, I just had my windows replaced a few years ago Have a nice day" Salesman: "Come on, I just want to go home for the day They'll come for the appointment another time." Me: "What company are you with?" (Knowing his answer before even asking) Salesman: "Community Builders"

Community Builders has inspected the roof and attic of the residence by the installer who originally put on the roofWe have photos of the apparent damaged areas, which have since been repaired by another electricianCBI will be sending out our own electrician to as the issues and devise a plan to suite Mr [redacted] needs

The work Community Builders did on my house was greatI had gutters, coating, and insulation doneI have already noticed the reduction in my utilities and the water from roof drains perfectlyThe workers were professional, prompt, and cleaned up after themselvesHighly recommend!!

Community Builders has sent out one installer to inspect the molding on the SidingThe siding does require cleaning from time to time due to natural causes, (Wind, rain, dirt, weather, etc.) Currently, we have another installer on his way to inspect the leak to assess where it is coming fromWe will know further details this afternoonAs of now, there is no damage caused by the initial installation according to the information we have thus far

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/06/29) */ To ensure our customers that we are still working on their mattersOur company practice is when an issue is reported is to follow up every two weeks with the customers until issue is resolvedWe have record of all communication, including voice mail messages left during our follow up proceduresAs of today, all issues have been resolved to the consumer's satisfaction

This review is based on an experience I had with one of their salesmen, apparently based out of their LR location I am thankful now that I didn't get any further into the process Here are a few things that made me wonder at the professionality of the company: Their salesman showed up earlyI understand that early is better than late, but that's why appointments are made Apparently it didn't matter in this instance In talking with the salesman, he divulged that he lived in the same town as myself I'm sure it made for an early day for him since he only spent minutes at my home He did not have any warranty or window information he could physically leave with me His go to answer was..."it's at the office." I can't speak for anyone else, but I like to have printed material to help me make an educated decision and to refer to later The salesman, and I use that term loosely, brought a sample window into my home for demonstration The screen fell out during the demonstration Not a big issue in and of itself, but when you can't give printed brochures or materials on the windows you are selling, it makes one wonder Are customers just supposed to take their word for it? Perhaps it was because I am a single woman and he thought me stupid for not knowing a street address The "demonstration" ended with him telling me, "you are more interested in money than you are quality I sell a quality product." I am thankful I did due diligence in researching windows before I ever started taking bids and would advise anyone else to do the same This saleman didn't even bother measuring my windowsWhen asked if he was going to, he replied, "It's not necessaryMy price would run $- $5700." I have an energy efficient home and the job only required replacement of windowsI shared that information with the gentleman who made the appointment I also shared that it wouldn't be a big job When I relayed that information to the salesman who showed up, I was told that the other gentleman didn't know what he was talking about, didn't know the windows, and had never installed a window I was left with the impression that my money wasn't big enough, I didn't have sense enough to search for quality, and this job was not worth the time While I may be a single woman, I do come from a family of carpenters and home builders This is not my first rodeo Thankfully, not all the salesmen, that have entered my home, have do so with preconceived ideas or assumptions The one thing at the forefront of my mind, whether I'm buying a car or remodeling, is this: Companies may be in the market to make money, but I am in the market to save money And very rarely do I sacrafice quality

Community Builders, Inc Covered up mess! Contract signed in January and job poorly completed August Substandard material used and trim around windows popping off around windows I wanted it replaced instead it was covered up very poorly with aluminum Two no show no call on appointments set Two windows pulled that should not have been pulled and damage done to siding surrounding windows Office manager aware of problems and she continued to delay project herself She also told me that I could not talk to her supervisor and no recourse but to wait for the repairs to be done I couldn't wait for the last contractor to get off my property and will not recommend Community Builders, Incto family or friends In fact will let everyone I know how poorly I was treated 13,dollar window job was a nightmare from [redacted]

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/07/25) */ According to our records the consumer was in contact with our installerThey went back and forth by text messagingAt one point the consumer said the leak had stopped and not to come outThe consumer did leave a message for [redacted] , her sales agent; he returned her call and spoke with her the next dayRegarding the tub leak: Upon inspecting the tub, it has been determined that it is a manufacturer problem not an installation issueApparently the consumer has been using non-recommended oil-based productsIt clearly states in the owner's manual not to use these productsThis has clogged a valve which is causing the leakA new valve has been ordered and will be installed ASAPThis will be at no cost to the consumer although she caused the problemAlso, the consumer needs to be using a system cleaner that cleans all the lines and hosesThis is highly recommended by the manufacturer according the owner's manualPlease disregard and remove this complaint due to it being a consumer and manufacture issue

ª"˜¨¨☠ª"˜¨¨¯¯¨¨˜ª¤.¸`*•.¸*•¸☠☆☆HIGHLY RECOMMEND☆☆☠¸•*¸.•*´¸.¤ª˜¨¨¯¯¨¨˜"... ¨¨˜"ª On 11/05/Community Builders Incinstalled incredibly beautiful windows in my home which had the original windows from [redacted] and his two assistants showed up around 8:a.mand began work They were extremely organized, professional, and operated like a well-oiled machine I have to say I was extremely impressed with both the quality of the windows and the exceptional installation jobIn retrospect all my worries went out the door minutes after they arrived They took care of my furnishings, carpeting, and interior plantation shutters (on all the windows which had to removed and put back on by them)They even brought their own trash cans and put the debris in as they worked They took very good care of my shrubs, landscaping and even swept off the patio when they were finished At completion (around 3:30) [redacted] took me to every window to make sure they had missed no small detail I cannot say enough about this project - quality product - quality installers - quality company Plus the windows have a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty I have two other projects and I will be calling them when that time comes Bottom line: I highly recommend Community Builders Incto any and every one and give them a Star rating!

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/07/23) */ Consumer called our office last week, this being the first time calling with an issueSent our customer service rep to her house on Tuesday morning to access the workSiding and windows were originally installed in There is a Lifetime Manufacturer's warranty on the materials with a five year labor warrantyThe issue she has is not a manufacture issueI spoke to consumer and explained about the warranty and she agreed to pay a service fee for the repairs and scheduled the repair to be done next week Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/07/29) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Community Builders have not called to set up a date and time to come out and fix the siding on my home, I don't know what the problem is I guess they figure it's just a waste of their time Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 9, 2015/08/03) */ CBI did make contact with consumer and scheduled the repairRepair was completed on Wed 7/Consumer paid the service fee as agreed and signed a completion of satisfaction

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/07/24) */ Spoke to consumer, she has agreed and scheduled with us to remove and replace the floor tile in the shower and fix the shower door Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (2000, 7, 2015/08/05) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) The company came back out and replaced the entire floor and fixed the shower doorFor the most part I am now satisfied with the floor

When I was getting bids from various businesses that sold & installed replacement windows, I included Community Builders to considerWhen their representative came and gave me his bid they were $10,MORE than any of the other companiesSo as with the other companies/representatives I thanked him for his time and let him know we have to think about itThe representative wouldn't leave! He kept saying things like "if you buy right now, I'll cut the price $3,000." Then it was "I tell you what, I'll cut it down another $2,000, but you have to buy nowWhen I leave, I can't guarantee that I'll be able to give you this deal." WHAT? I felt like I was dealing with a car salesmanHe was really putting on the pressure for an immediate decisionBut why would I say yes?...even with his "special price" they were still way too expensive in comparison to the other three company bidsAnd now they are advertising on TV that they will give you all the replacement windows you need if you buy their sidingNow anyone that has shopped for replacement windows knows how expensive they areAnd this builder says they will give them to you FREE when you buy their (and let them install) their sidingTheir siding must be really expensive to cover free windows for a houseTheir advertising is never as good a deal as they say it is when it all gets put on paperDeceptive advertising!?!

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/01/22) */ Mr ***'s refund check has been cut as we have been waiting for the agreement worked out with councilIt has not been signed & sent to CBI We are waiting for Mr ***

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 8, 2014/12/24) */ The advertisement reads restrictions apply across the screen This advertisement has been sent to Oklahoma attorney general and has been without issue The sales was inexperienced and should've had samples to show> Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 10, 2014/12/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I understood and was able to accommodate the restrictions, inexperience is no excuse for telling me that they don't even have samples of the product they are advertising and donor normally provide the product

This review is based on an experience I had with one of their salesmen, apparently based out of their LR location. I am thankful now that I didn't get any further into the process.

Here are a few things that made me wonder at the professionality of the company:
1. Their salesman showed up early. I understand that early is better than late, but that's why appointments are made. Apparently it didn't matter in this instance. In talking with the salesman, he divulged that he lived in the same town as myself. I'm sure it made for an early day for him since he only spent 35 minutes at my home.
2. He did not have any warranty or window information he could physically leave with me. His go to answer was..."it's at the office." I can't speak for anyone else, but I like to have printed material to help me make an educated decision and to refer to later.
3. The salesman, and I use that term loosely, brought a sample window into my home for demonstration. The screen fell out during the demonstration. Not a big issue in and of itself, but when you can't give printed brochures or materials on the windows you are selling, it makes one wonder. Are customers just supposed to take their word for it? Perhaps it was because I am a single woman and he thought me stupid for not knowing a street address.
4. The "demonstration" ended with him telling me, "you are more interested in money than you are quality. I sell a quality product."
I am thankful I did due diligence in researching windows before I ever started taking bids and would advise anyone else to do the same. This saleman didn't even bother measuring my windows. When asked if he was going to, he replied, "It's not necessary. My price would run $5600 - $5700."
I have an energy efficient home and the job only required replacement of 7 windows. I shared that information with the gentleman who made the appointment. I also shared that it wouldn't be a big job. When I relayed that information to the salesman who showed up, I was told that the other gentleman didn't know what he was talking about, didn't know the windows, and had never installed a window.
5. I was left with the impression that my money wasn't big enough, I didn't have sense enough to search for quality, and this job was not worth the time.
While I may be a single woman, I do come from a family of carpenters and home builders. This is not my first rodeo. Thankfully, not all the salesmen, that have entered my home, have do so with preconceived ideas or assumptions. The one thing at the forefront of my mind, whether I'm buying a car or remodeling, is this: Companies may be in the market to make money, but I am in the market to save money. And very rarely do I sacrafice quality.
