a divorce situation and our company policy is tonot get involved in payment disputes between the divorced couplesThe fatherts address was on the billand his current wife has asked we send the bill to the ex-wifeOur system will only send one statementand cannot split bill portions depending on what is listed with their custodyWe do have father listed asprimary insurance holder and as one of the guarantors on the accountI do not believe he has everdisputed he is the father of the patient and our records are correct in that manner*** ***called on 9/26/asked if we could change the address in our system each time child comes in towhichever party brought the child inI explained our company policy on divorce situations and alsoexplained that our system will bill whatever address is showing active at that time and there isunfortunately no way I would know if the address was going to who they wanted it toNormally, indivorce situations the husband/wife, will forward the portion of what is owed to the other partyAgain,we do not get involved in percentages owed by each party and leave that up to family court to handle.We did explain that when an account is sent to collections on a minor we send the paperwork as to whoagreed to pay and then again it would be up to the courts to decide who was responsible to pay thatportion of the bill as stated in their custody paperworkThe patients' step-mom was obviously upsetand we tried to apologize multiple timesShe kept stating we were not doing what she was wanted us todo and this has nothing to do with custody battlesI know *** stated that they would not bereturning and we forced *** to pay the billUnfortunately, we only asked him to forward the bill to hisex-wife and he then paid the $owed on the account*** also asked us to close out theiraccounts in our systemI have done that so all of the accounts at every Community Care have beenclosedI am happy to get them a copy of their records to take to their new physician of choice and outof customer service we will refund the amount owed on the account in the amount of $as it's notworth the hassleWe wish them the best in all their future medical endeavors and hope the best fortheir family

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I am not the responsible party to this bill, yes [redacted] is my daughter. However my ex wife [redacted] brought [redacted] in for this appointment. This is not a Custody issue, I am in no way asking you to split the bill, just simply bill the appropriate parent. [redacted] signed the consent to pay and consent to treat form. And she therefore should have been billed the CO-pay. Any other Dr. Office that I have used has been able to distinguish between myself and my ex wife when bringing our daughter in and has billed the appropriate party. I saw the form, you showed it to me with her signature, therefore you should have gotten her billing address and sent the bill to her home, not mine. It says right on the form she signed that she is responsible for the payment. Does it not? I can no longer do business with an office that disregards its own billing practices. These responses will be sent to Mountain View Hospital's Complaint Department. Sorry you refuse to see the issue and deal with it appropriately.Sincerely,[redacted]
