Good Afternoon,We would first like to remove any affiliation with [redacted] from your mailings and email as [redacted] was terminated in February 2014. The Person who all of the future concernsneed to be forwarded to is Robert M. Kongelka Jr.. Please make this correction for future...

referencewhen attempting to contact Community Chevrolet Inc. Thank You.In reference to ID#[redacted], Customer Stopped in to our repair facility on 7-9-2016 andshe requested us to check the oil level in the vehicle. (2009 Chrysler Town & Country). We advisedcustomer the oil level was low one Quart of oil. We advised customer it was low one Quart and our partsdepartment was closed at the time as it was after their normal business hours. Customer left our facilitywith the understanding it was low and needed topped off. Customer came back to our facility on 7-12-2016 to have an oil change and tire rotation performed with a coupon for $24.95 before changing oil wechecked level and found oil level was still low by one quart. We drained the oil out of the vehicle androtated the tires on the vehicle. After replacement of the oil filter we started to add oil to the engineand found the oil was not draining into the engine through the valve cover. The oil was starting tooverflow onto the valve cover itself externally. We at that point advised the customer we are unsurewhy this is occurring and we would like to keep the vehicle overnight and see if the oil will drain into theengine overnight. In the morning we checked oil level and found oil level still low and the funnel whichcontained the balance of the oil that would not drain down into the engine was then empty. Customerat this point requested the vehicle be taken elsewhere to have looked at. We advised the customer thatit is a possibility that the oil passages may be blocked off, This was only an assumption until we are ableto remove the valve cover to have a better understanding of what is going on. Customer decided at thispoint to have the vehicle towed out,we suggested not driving the vehicle until a better determinationwas made into why the oil is not properly draining down into the engine. We were not given anopportunity to continue this investigation. We feel there is still an issue with the vehicle and we hopethat the customer’s investment is not damaged due to this odd circumstance that have occurred . Wehold ourselves to the highest standards when it comes to customer’s investment. We were trying toprevent a situation that could have possibly caused the customer a large expense. I cannot speak forwhat had caused the issue of the oil not draining into the engine other than it would not drain. Theseengines have one way of draining the oil and one way of filling it. That day the oil was not properly goinginto the valve cover at all. All certified dealers are going to be a little higher in cost compared to anindependent garages due to our tech’s being held to a higher standard of training, where independentgarages are not held to these standards by no one.

Review: I went to Community Chevrolet for an oil change with a coupon they had mailed me. I was told that my car had an issue and that it had 0 oil in it. It was the end of the business day. I was told that I could not drive it. I took a rental car and went home. In the morning, I returned and had my car towed to another garage due to Community's hourly fee being too high. The other garage told me there was 2 1/2 quarts of oil in the car. They stated that there was nothing wrong with my car. They looked at various things regarding my oil. There was no sludge, no blockage. I was informed that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. He put oil in it and I drove away. I went back to Community and explained the situation. I was told (in their defense it was not a gimmick and they put in 6 quarts of oil and was not sure where the oil went). I have checked the oil at every stop and it is at the max level and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the car.Desired Settlement: I should be reimbursed my 1/2 day car rental ($15.00) and for towing ($38.50). I was told that I could not drive my car at all. I was lied to. I should not have had to pay for an oil change that did not occur. I did get a filter and a car rotation on my tires but that was all included in the $24.95 total. I was charged for 5 quarts of oil and only received 2 1/2 quarts. I should be reimbursed for the other quarts of oil. I was charged $20.75 for 5 quarts. It was not in my vehicle. They should reimburse me for towing ($38.50) because I was informed that I could not drive the vehicle, I had 2 1/2 quarts of oil and was able to drive it to the other garage. I had to pay the other garage $45.00 to be told there was nothing wrong with my car. I paid out a total of $125.00 for a supposed $24.95 oil change. I should be reimbursed $100.00 dollars. Community Chevrolet stated this was not a gimmick, yet, I was told there was something wrong with my car, and in reality, there was nothing wrong with it. I have been driving it with no problems every day since 7/12/16 the date I had driven it to Community Chevrolet. My oil stick shows oil is at the maximum level right where it should be.
