The phone system that was installed was a Doorking unitIt was originally installed in July and billed that month as wellThe unit was working when our technician left the property as they were instructed on programmingWe returned a month later to give [redacted] another set of keys for the unit so he could access inside the unitIt was still working at that point and no request was made to make any repairs or that the unit was not functionalWe were onsite again in May to replace a circuit board on the slide gate operator and again no mention of the telephone entry unit not working was made to usNote this is almost months after the unit was originally installedThe first call we received about the phone unit working is on September 18th which is months after the unit was installedI am unclear about the statement made by the property stating that the unit never worked and why we first heard about it months later after being onsite multiple timesAt this time we were able to get it to work for a short time and it later failed again a month later and we were called out again on October 27th at this point we noticed that the main control board was the primary issue and some portion of the board was damaged as we were able to get it to fail and meter it outWe then contacted Doorking about the warranty situation of the board and the unit was sent into them for a diagnosisTheir reply was the board did not fall under warranty but due to external factors damaging the board which was the gate/door that was shutting hard enough to damaged the circuit boardCommunity Controls then in good faith replaced the board paying Doorking the cost of the new board and installed it onsite in April We also did not charge for any labor in the cost of replacing the old board with new or the cost of shipping the board in from CaliforniaWe have tried to make this situation as fair as possible unfortunately Doorking did not warranty the board and did pass the cost onto usWe are still out the cost of the replacement board and have still not received payment from [redacted] Condominiums after months of having the work completedTheir account with us has been put on hold for non-payment and we are hoping to have this resolved soon as they have promised to pay on Nov 10th once they can get a signature on the check

The phone system that was installed was a Doorking 1810 unit. It was originally installed in July 2013 and billed that month as well. The unit was working when our technician left the property as they were instructed on programming. We returned a month later to give [redacted] another set of keys for...

the unit so he could access inside the unit. It was still working at that point and no request was made to make any repairs or that the unit was not functional. We were onsite again in May 2014 to replace a circuit board on the slide gate operator and again no mention of the telephone entry unit not working was made to us. Note this is almost 11 months after the unit was originally installed. The first call we received about the phone unit working is on September 18th 2014 which is 14 months after the unit was installed. I am unclear about the statement made by the property stating that the unit never worked and why we first heard about it 14 months later after being onsite multiple times. At this time we were able to get it to work for a short time and it later failed again a month later and we were called out again on October 27th 2014 at this point we noticed that the main control board was the primary issue and some portion of the board was damaged as we were able to get it to fail and meter it out. We then contacted Doorking about the warranty situation of the board and the unit was sent into them for a diagnosis. Their reply was the board did not fall under warranty but due to external factors damaging the board which was the gate/door that was shutting hard enough to damaged the circuit board. Community Controls then in good faith replaced the board paying Doorking the cost of the new board and installed it onsite in April 2015. We also did not charge for any labor in the cost of replacing the old board with new or the cost of shipping the board in from California. We have tried to make this situation as fair as possible unfortunately Doorking did not warranty the board and did pass the cost onto us. We are still out the cost of the replacement board and have still not received payment from [redacted] Condominiums after 6 months of having the work completed. Their account with us has been put on hold for non-payment and we are hoping to have this resolved soon as they have promised to pay on Nov 10th once they can get a signature on the check.
