Review: Id like to bring to your attention to a problem Im having with the CFSC Check Cashing Place, located at [redacted]. I went in yesterday on 5/**/14 to purchase two money orders (one for$ 400 and another for $20, plus an additional twenty to pay for the service charge)to pay for a test for college. I gave the cashier $440 in domination of no less than twenties. As you can see on the receipt , my ordered totaled $421.78($1.78 service charge) I was given $8.22 for change. I stood there, and had this feeling that something was wrong, but just couldnt place it. I came home and finally figured out what was wrong. I gave $440.00, and the cashier entered into the computer that I gave $430.00 and gave me change for that amount. By doing this-entering the amount as 10 less, I, the consumer have no way of proving that she stole ten dollars from me as the money I handed her was cash. I went back today, 5/**/14 and asked to speak to a manger, but no one was there, so I spoke to another cashier and respectfully explained my problem. She was very confused and called over the other cashier, the one that had served me yesterday. I explained the issue to her, but it was like talking to a wall over there. She tried explaining how her report and the money in the cash register equaled, and was made to feel like I was the wrong one. I just want to point out that obviously the report matched the money in the cash register, because if someone steals money then they make sure that there is no evidence left. She could have easily have put the twenty in and taken herself ten bucks change, because these ten dollars were never even put into the system. She also might have taken the twenty, and later added in a ten to the cash register. Whatever it was that she did, I am now ten dollars poorer..I come from a low income family, and each dollar is carefully counted and stretched. I am in college and am saving up every dollar to be able to pay for school and all the expenses that come along with it. A lot of hard work is put into every dollar that my parent or I earn, and I feel infuriated, cheated and disappointed. Money does not grow on a tree. I cannot believe how the CFSC Check Cashing Place is employing people that are cheating the customers. And I am sure that I am not the only one being gypped like this. Imagine all those tens and twenties that are stolen, Im sure it adds up to quite a lot of money at the end of the week. I hope that with this letter I can make people aware of the shady business practices going on in the neighborhood, and I warn everyone to be careful in which stores and businesses they patronize.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate being given back the money that I was overcharged.
