After fully reviewing Ms. [redacted]’s account we have found the when Ms. [redacted] had radiology services done at Community Medical Center – Clovis on 10/06/2014 and 12/02/2014 updated address and insurance information did NOT interface over to our [redacted]ing system. Since Community Medical Imaging is the...
Radiology group and is separate from the medical center we rely on the patient information to come over via interface. In this case, it did not. Because the patient had services done prior to the mentioned dates of service the existing address and insurance information on account was used and [redacted]ed. When the insurance company denied the claims as patient not eligible we sent statements to Ms. [redacted] to the address on file.
Statements were sent to Ms. [redacted] on 11/13/2014, 12/11/2014, 1/08/2015, 2/5/2015 and 3/5/2015 with no response or return mail. At that point the account was sent to Grant Mercantile Collection Agency for further collections activities.
Now that it has come to our attention that we were [redacted]ing outdated insurance information as well as an old address that Ms. [redacted] does not reside at we have taken steps to rectify the account. The correct Primary insurance has been [redacted]ed and has paid on the account. The secondary insurance has now been [redacted]ed for the balance. Grant Mercantile Agency has been contacted to cancel the account from the credit bureaus so that this account will no longer show on Ms. [redacted]’s credit report. Furthermore, if the secondary insurance denies our claim for timely filing we will write off the balance and not [redacted] Ms. [redacted].
Ms. [redacted]’s desired settlement has been met.
