On 1/30/I booked a condo listing on Booking.com for the Ocotillo Lodge in Palm SpringsThe dates I booked were 3/28/18-4/1/18, which was months in advance of our stayFast Forward to 3/11/18, I receive an email from booking.com saying my card had been declined and that I needed to update my CC numberI immediately put in my CC information againThe next day, 3/12/I received an email saying my reservation was cancelled (weeks before my stay), due to my card being “declined”I immediately called the number that was provided on the cancellation email (###-###-####)A man named [redacted] answers the phone, I explain to him what has transpired and ask for his assistance [redacted] said that he is just “covering” for the hotel in Palm Springs and that he actually runs hotels in the Austin area and that he works for Onyx Hotels which runs many hotels, including the one in Palm Springs that I bookedHe informed me that there is no “front desk” hospitality at the Palm Springs hotel
