Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2016/02/29) */
[redacted] called a few days prior to his test drive to ask a few questions about the F150 we had for sale. [redacted] inquired if he could have an independent mechanic inspect the truck. I advised [redacted] he could have an independent mechanic inspect the truck...

at his expense.
[redacted] arrived around noon on Friday and took the F150 to Brooks automotive. After the inspection, I discussed a possible purchase of the vehicle. [redacted] indicated he was "LEARY" of the truck after his independent inspection and did not want to purchase the truck at the current time. [redacted] was told he could purchase the truck and a non-refundable deposit is required if [redacted] wanted to proceed with the purchase.
[redacted] advised the truck was not on hold as no deposit was given for the truck. [redacted] advised he would talk to his wife about the purchase of the truck. At no time was [redacted] lead to believe this truck was put aside or on hold for him. On Saturday, a customer came in and bought the truck.
Monday at about 5:15 pm, [redacted]'s wife called wondering why the truck was no longer on the internet. I advised the truck has sold on Saturday. [redacted] then called me shortly after the conversation I had with his wife. [redacted] was upset the truck was sold, and then demanded we reimburse him for his independent mechanical inspection. I advised we never reimburse for mechanical inspections, this fact was made clear to the customer in our initial conversation.
In any event, [redacted] is upset because he missed out on a great truck at a great price. Its a shame [redacted] waited over 72 hours after his test drive to express an interest in the truck, and this interest was initiated by the truck listing being removed from the internet. [redacted]'s frustration and vulgarity is mis-directed, as he does not understand the nature of car sales and refuses to recall our conversations regarding the purchase of this F150.
