I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I was not quoted the $500-$statement as was written by the billing person, Crystal Crystal did not even talk to me until late on Friday afternoon before I documented what had happened The quote I received was on Wedafternoon by a staff person for $and I wrote it down I have worked in sales for years and always write down quotes that I receiveNormally, I would have and should have requested a written amount to be e-mailed to me I don't understand why the business didn't do this, but apparently, they do not I was told there were new people there and that the vet's office was busy Well, I was busy trying to get my pet well. When I took my pet back in, the girl at the desk asked me about blood workShe did not mention that this was an extra cost until I was leaving my cat there for the surgeryI had no choice at that time to take him elsewhere since he needed treatment quickly They did not accurately explain these costs to me and they know it I asked on the phone if they kept notes in the computer system on this and they don't ! What ???? You deal with several different people at this office and no one seems to be consistentI am sure many just pay and say nothingWell, to me, that isn't good customer service. I was happy with the work the Vet did and thanked herAny additional food that I purchased was only bought there, because they don't sell it anywhere else and I needed it for my cat !! It's prescription cat food ! I think some good organization in their billing practices there would be a good ideaI am sure this has happened to others and they just ignore it. Being told we're busy with a smile does not make up for being misquoted pricing on a vet billThis was the experience that I had I also think this is a good way for them to bump up their pricing, leaving the customer with no proof. If I go and buy a car, I don't get a price and go back to get it and then expect to pay more ! Why is the Vet business any different ? They are offering a service for a fee and it should be protocol that it's in writing for the customer so we don't get ripped off And it should then be e-mailed to them. Any good business would not even be arguing over this ! I am right and I know I amI was there and spoke on the phone to a few people there !Sincerely,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. That statement is not true that someone did not quote me that amount. I would never have filed a complaint if the person who did, just admitted it. The amount was paid because we love our cat and  have to bring him in for one more appointment. After that, I will be going someplace else. This Cystal person has been nothing but rude and untruthful and I don't do business with people like that. I would not recommend this business to anyone seeking good care for their animals.  The billing department there is awful and I will never go back there again after my cat's follow-up appointment.  I don't lie about business deals, ever. They do !

Compassionate Companion Care204 Hendy Creek Rd.Pine City, NY 14871###-###-#### ###-###-####[email protected]/18/15... Complaint ID: [redacted]We received the letter of the complaint that was filed on 6/12/15. I am aware of this situation and what...

occurred that day. The client did come into our office for an appointment on 6/8/15 because her pet was sick. We treated her pet accordingly and the bill was $200.22. When the results from that visit came back it was determined that a surgical procedure was needed to correct the issue with the pet. The Dr. quoted the client $500-$600 dollars for the procedure. This is typical in this field. We do not ever give an exact quote because with a procedure like this things can come up during the procedure that may warrant additional cost. We do not give estimates in writing because an estimate is just that, it's an estimate to give a client an idea of how much something may cost but even we do not know exactly how much until the procedure is done. Although usually when we quote a client a price it is pretty close to the quote. The client that tiled this claim was told her total when we called her to let her know that her pet was doing well and recovering. The morning of the procedure when she dropped her pet off she asked for additional services: a vaccine, bloodwork, and prescription food for the pet. These things were not in the original quote she was given as they were things that she asked for thatmorning and I explained that to her when I called her back to discuss her concerns over the bill. I tried to resolve the matter to the best of my ability. I even discounted her x-rays completely (not 50%) like she stated in her complaint. Her bill was $665.48 (not $700 as the client stated in the complaint) prior to the discount I made, and $615.48 after the discount. She picked her pet up that day and took home the prescription food and only paid $500. I told her that we had done all that we could to keep the bill close to the original quote even after she added several other things that day. She still has a remaining balance that she has not paid and her most recent update stated that her pet was doing well post surgery and that she was very thankful and happy with the outcome. We usually require payment in full at the time of service so we even worked with her on that since she stated that she only had $500 cash to pay that day, We have done all that we could to try and work with this client and address her concerns.Sincerely,CrystalOffice Manager
