Horrible customer service when I went to order my parts, and shipping time.I went to order my parts through them and called after doing my research on what I wanted. The customer service I received was so bad I decided to just order online because I still wanted this set up for a truck in building for my son. They took my money on a Thursday and I was told the product would ship right away. Late in the following week they finally shipped it and I received it the middle of the next week after that. The camshaft had a broken lobe and after already installing the valve springs and all I called to see if their was anything they could do to help expedite getting another camshaft. I was given a number to put on the box and told to ship it back so they could inspect it. I told the customer service person I was on a tight schedule and was treated like it was of no concern to him. I have since ordered the new cam which is on it's way now. I just want to share this in the hopes that this will get back to them and maybe some practices can be changed. I for one will never buy from them again.Desired SettlementNot really expecting anything but not having to eat the price of another cam would have been nice.Business Response Response of Competition Cams, Inc. to the above referenced complaint. We have received the Revdex.com letter dated February 21, 2014 concerning the above referenced complaint. On Jan.20, 2014 Mr. [redacted] purchased product from us and on Feb. 18, 2014 he contacted us by phone stating that he had encountered a problem as he was installing the camshaft" He stated that he had snapped a lobe off the cam during installation. The sales tech he spoke with issues him an RMA which allows him to return the cam for inspection and warranty. The Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)was issued on Feb. 18, 2014. Mr. [redacted] has not returned the merchandise for the warranty inspection and as a result no further action has been taken. On Feb. 18, 2014 Mr. [redacted] purchased a replacement cam which was shipped and which he apparently installed without a problem. We are sorry that Mr. [redacted] feels like he did not receive good customer service but out warranty procedure is clearly set out in the materials he received with the product and on line. Our procedure is that upon receipt of the merchandise it is inspected and a warranty decision is made.Because he has not followed through by returning the merchandise we have nobasis upon which we can make a warranty decision.

They sent the wrong part, it cost me a week. Then when I informed them they sent the wrong part it took another week to get it shipped. On 5/4/15 I notice on the shipping notice that was emailed to me the wrong Wear Plate was sent. I contacted Comp Cams Via Phone and Email ([redacted] & [redacted] ) and notified them of the mistake. I did not receive a response until Tuesday. At which time [redacted] notified me that [redacted] handled that order and I would have to speak to him. [redacted] said he would have him call me. Well by 2:30 (Arizona Time) when I still had not heard from [redacted] so I called him. I had to leave a message. [redacted] called Wednesday afternoon and said he made a mistake and would get another one on the way. I asked if he could overnight the part since so much time had already been lost? He said he cannot. After Spending over $800.00 with Comp Cams and they make a mistake are seriously telling me you cannot sent the correct part overnight to make up for your mistake??? What a joke and I told [redacted] that. He did not care one bit, and had no concern about the time lost or the delay's the mistake has caused.... Desired SettlementBetween [redacted] or [redacted] or [redacted] you would think that one of them would have made an attempt to ask or get approval to overnight the 5 ounce part to SATISFY customer? Instead they choose to do as little as possible to get by. Seriously it may have cost $20.00 bucks to overnight and it cannot be done??? Also I paid Over $800.00 for Cam Kit [redacted] XX-XXX-X", instead of including the $12.00 in parts needed to assemble the cam in the motor Com Cams thinks it beast to Separate 2 $2.00 dollar parts (their cost) and then make you pay separate shipping and handling??? What a bunch of [redacted]!!! It is obviously an intentional practice of the company to milk more $$$ out of the customer. At the very least they should have had it as an add to the cam kit. In other words when you place your order it says "YOU MUST ORDER THESE PARTS IN ORDER FOR PROPER INSTALLATION".......Again "WHAT A JOKE"!!!! By the time these [redacted] get me the parts I need it will have cost me 2 weeks!!!! AND YOU TELL ME YOU CANNOT SHIP IT OVERNIGHT??? REALLY!!! COME ON COMP CAMS, STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND TEACH YOUR PEOPLE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY/OWNERSHIP OF A PROBLEM AND DO WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE IT RIGHT! I guess this is the reason they do not belong to Revdex.com. They have no intention of conducting them selves in a Professional Manor.... Sincerely [redacted] Business Response We are certainly sorry that Mr. [redacted] experienced a delay in receiving his parts. The technician involved should have offer to send the replacement part via [redacted] express mail. We have discussed this matter in the tech department and hope that this problem does not happen in the future.Since this customer has received his parts we will be glad to offer him a 10% discount on his next order from our company.

The FAST 102 manifold had a bolt left inside it from manufacturing, causing damage to my engine, thousands in damagesInstalled a brand new FAST 102 Manifold on my LS3, which had a brand new full engine build. The manifold had a bolt left inside it from manufacturing, The bolt must have been wedged up next to a runner as it did not make any noise during the install. As you can see from the photos, it's an exact match to the other 8 bolts used in manufacturing of the manifold, these 8 bolts hold down the runners inside the manifold. When the car was taken for a test drive the bolt got sucked down into the cylinder causing damage to the piston and head on the brand new engine. Entire engine had to be pulled and rebuilt again. FAST/COMP completely denies any responsibility for this incident. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY unless you want it cause damage to your vehicle. Photos of the proof can be found here - [redacted]Desired SettlementReimbursement of the parts damaged due to their negligence in manufacturing of their product, including labor to replace the parts.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@compcams.comI spoke with Mr. [redacted] on 4/11/2016 about the issue. Mr. [redacted] and I agreed on a settlement and he is going to contact the Revdex.com to withdraw the complaint. As far as I know this should conclude this issue and there should be no record against my company. If this is not the case I would appreciate someone contacting me so that a resolution can be found.Consumer Response The consumer has advised the Revdex.com that the issue has been resolved.
